Marvel Studios won't be releasing the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War they just debuted at D23 online anytime soon, but the description sounds epic. Infinity War will be the culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe ten years in the making. The film already has garnered insane levels of hype, and with Untitled Avengers still to follow, there's no telling what exactly audiences will be in for. All that is known is Thanos (Josh Brolin) is finally going to do it himself to wipe the universe clean of its mighty protectors. This doesn't just mean the Avengers, but the Guardians of the Galaxy will also be present, as will many other non-Avenger heroes.

Production kicked off at the beginning of the year and may have just recently wrapped production in Atlanta, ahead of directors Joe and Anthony Russo beginning production on Avengers 4 shortly. The turnaround was quick for the film to have a presence at D23, and it wound up closing out the live-action panel with a bang.

Screen Rant was on hand for the live-action panel at D23 and was able to witness the first trailer for Infinity War. Introduced by Joe, and followed by a brief recap of the MCU to this point, the trailer played out as follows:

The trailer begins with a passed out and wounded Thor floating in space. Guardians of the Galaxy hit him as they are flying through space in the Milano. He's stuck to the windshield and Rocket proposes using the windshield wipers to wake him up. Thor is brought into the Milano, wakes up, and says, "Who the hell are you guys?" There's a cut to Loki holding the Tesseract. Shot of Spider-Man on a bus, arm hair stands up - confirming Spidey sense. Iron Man working with the Guardians. Thanos arrives to battle Avengers. Spider-Man shown wearing new suit from end of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Cut to Peter with mask off saying, "I'm sorry," to Stark. Thanos battling Doctor Strange, Star-Lord, and Iron Man. Shows Captain America in new (Nomad?) suit with a beard. Black Widow is now blonde. Thanos pulls pieces of the moon to Earth to toss at Avengers. Logo.

Outside of this description, there were also quick shots of Scarlet Witch in combat, Black Panther battling in Wakanda, massive destruction, and much more. All in all, there is an incredible amount of scenes shown, each presenting a case for why Infinity War will be so big. Marvel brought most of the film's cast on stage to introduce this teaser, and with almost everyone being featured in the footage itself, this made for quite a special way to end the panel at D23.

Unfortunately for everyone who was not able to attend the panel, this description will have to do for now. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said recently that the first trailer won't be released to the public until later this year, just in time for it to be attached to Thor: Ragnarok. Even though the majority of fans will have to wait until then to see this trailer - or an alternative version - the reactions from those who have seen it make it abundantly clear that the footage won't disappoint.
