Netflix recently announced the cast for their live-action adaption of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Actress Amber Midthunder, known especially for her role as Naru in Prey, was cast as Princess Yue, and Midthunder shared in an interview how excited she is to be taking on this role since she's such a huge fan of the series.

Princess Yue is one of the most interesting characters in the animated series. She develops a strong connection with Sokka, but they're unable to pursue a romance because Yue is engaged. However, later on, in a heartbreaking scene, her character sacrifices herself to save the world. Still, there are several complex and interesting characters in this series, such as Katara and Zuko, and all of them can be assigned an Enneagram type.

9 Suki - The Perfectionist

Those who fit into the Perfectionist type have a strong sense of duty and believe in a stern set of principles. As the leader of the Kyoshi Warriors of her village, Suki takes her job as a protector very seriously. She makes sure to accomplish any task that comes her way, but her main priority is to keep all innocent people safe. Her empathy and commitment to her job as a warrior work hand in hand, making Suki one of the fiercest and most loyal warriors in the series.

8 Katara - The Helper

The second type of Enneagram type, The Helper, is a person who constantly tries to give others what they need, even if it crosses their own boundaries. The Helpers are generous and selfless, always putting other people's needs above their own. However, this can also cause them problems, since it’s also important for them to take care of themselves.

Katara is basically the mom-friend of the group. She makes sure Sokka, Aang, and Toph (much to her consternation) are always alright, and she constantly makes sacrifices to help others. On top of that, she always made sure that the people they met on their journey were as safe as possible. Her main priority is always the wellness of her family and her community.

7 Toph - The Achiever

The Achiever type is mostly worried about proving to others their worth. It’s important for them to become the best version of themselves possible, and not display any weaknesses. Since failure is their biggest fear, they’re hard workers who constantly improve themselves, even it if leaves them exhausted.

Toph, one of the strongest characters in Avatar: The Last Airbender, feels like she has to act tougher than she really needs. She constantly tries to prove to others that she doesn’t need their help. Her fear of being perceived as vulnerable for her blindness makes her train twice as hard as any other person in the series.

6 Zuko - The Individualist

One of the most important things for the Individualist is to be seen and understood by others. These very emotional people do everything they can to differentiate themselves from others, trying to be as unique as possible. Since they are very sensible, they have a very active inner life, but they can also be emotionally unstable.

During Avatar: The Last Airbender, Zuko spent a great deal of time trying to impress his father, Prince Ozai, the main villain of the series. However, he eventually realized his father's ideals were wrong and became a part of Aang’s group. This decision proves how empathic Zuko is, plus, the strength of following his own ideals, making him the best character from the Fire Nation.

5 Iroh - The Investigator

Those who fit into the Investigator Enneagram type love to explore and analyze the world. Their strong curiosity takes them to the interesting path of knowledge, and they tend to be incredibly smart. However, their strong inner life sometimes keeps them from interacting with others, and they tend to communicate in cryptic ways.

Zuko's uncle, Iroh, is one of the mentors in the series. He accompanies Zuko during most of his mission, and he's his main advisor. Although he's Prince Ozai's brother, it's obvious Iroh is not greedy or evil, but mostly interested in pursuing knowledge and playing Pai Sho. Iron is an intelligent, wise man, who tries to give his nephew the best tools - although sometimes he could be more clear with his advice.

4 Sokka - The Loyalist

As their name describes, the Enthusiasts show tremendous amounts of energy and excitement. They love adventure over anything else, and they're always looking for novelty in their lives. However, their constant need for positivity, makes it hard for them to process their negative emotions, which eventually blows in their face.

As the Avatar of his time, Aang had to display great control of his emotions. He's the best character from the Air Temples and a light-hearted and good-intentioned boy who does his best to always be happy and share happiness with the people who surround him. Still, when his negative emotions take a hold of him, he tries to ignore them, eventually blowing up.
