When he is not acting as an advocate for literacy and teen rights, he enjoys writing, role-playing, cosplay, photography, video games and (naturally) collecting comics and books.

Nationally recognized as an expert on American comics, Matt has been published by over a dozen professional publications and lectured on comics history at several conventions and colleges. He has worked for Screen Rant since 2017 in a variety of roles, currently writing for both the Superhero Beat of the Core Features team and the Comics department.
 

Favorite Media

Matt's favorite superhero is Green Arrow, but he also enjoys fantasy comics like Conan the Barbarian. While he loves the Arrowverse shows, his favorite is Legends of Tomorrow. His favorite movie is The Princess Bride. His favorite book is The King’s Buccaneer by Raymond E. Feist, but he also recommends the complete works of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.
