About Kim Olson

I am a full-blown, no doubt about it, fangirl who’s addicted to TV. I can’t remember a time in my life when my world didn’t revolve around TV. TV has always kind of been the one constant in my life. Whenever anyone would ask “where’s Kim?” the answer would always be, “in front of the TV.” In school, whenever I was asked what my hobby was, I always said watching TV. That was just who I was and still am. My imaginary friends when I was little: Cory, Shawn, and Topanga from Boy Meets World. My morning ritual in middle school: Getting up at 5 a.m. to watch reruns of Saved by the Bell, followed by reruns of Dawson’s Creek. The one thing I wanted more than anything else in the world when I was 13: My own TV in my bedroom. (I was sleeping on the couch in my family’s spare room for a year before I got that TV, just so I could fall asleep in front of a TV.) Everything I did, and still do, revolved around TV. The one thing I couldn’t leave home without when I moved to college: My 42″ TV (I even paid $18 a month for a DVR, on top of the free cable I got from my apartment building.) My summer vacation in 2014, the first vacation I paid for on my own dime: Visiting the set of Once Upon a Time - Storybrooke - in Steveston, British Columbia. I had to get a passport for that and everything! I’ve also been to San Diego Comic Con four times! Through all those SDCCs, college, and other conventions, I’ve met more celebrities than I can remember or count on two hands. I’ve met my favorites and idols: Dylan O’Brien, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Colin O'Donoghue, James Roday, Maggie Lawson, and more! I’ve also interviewed too many celebrities to count! From meeting those I idolize to writing about them, all my goals, dreams, aspirations, and wishes have something to do with my love of all things TV. That’s me. That’s who I am - an admitted TV addict. TV is more than a hobby to me, it’s a lifestyle. It’s what I talk about. It’s what I think about. It’s how I make friends! My life revolves around TV and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Of all the other things in the world I could be addicted to, I think I picked the healthiest. This is me. This is who I am. Call Me.
