Attack on Titan season 4 will officially continue next week with a new date for the postponed episode announced. Spawned from the mind of Hajime Isayama, the dark post-apocalyptic fantasy saga began life in Manga form. As of December 2019, over 100 million copies had been sold. It has also claimed several awards. As such, Attack on Titan will go down in history as one of the most successful manga series of all time. After eleven years, those tales were confirmed to conclude next month. An equally-popular anime adaptation of the tale premiered in 2013. Similarly, however, it was confirmed to be concluding with Attack on Titan season 4.

Both versions of the saga followed the journeys of Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlet, and more, as they sign up to battle gigantic creatures known as Titans. Joining the Scout Regiment, the core group has grown and evolved over time. With arcs and dynamics as complex as anything ever imagined within early Game of Thrones, fans have been enthralled by all the twists and turns. Those developments (and fan's passion) only increased in Attack on Titan season 4 — with the shocking death of Sasha and the increasingly dark path walked by Eren. The fourth season premiered in December and has aired every Sunday since. Unfortunately, due to an Earthquake in Japan, the release of Attack on Titan season 4, episode 14, "Savagery" was delayed.

Fans were left equal parts disappointed and sympathetic as they wait to see when the episode would instead be released. Fortunately, the news has been officially revealed by Funimation. Posting on Twitter, they revealed that the episode would be released at the usual time on Sunday, March 21. So as to keep things firmly on track, it was also confirmed that Attack on Titan season 4, episode 15 (Episode 74 overall) would be released immediately afterward. As such, fans will get a double-bill of action, plot developments, and tense character interactions next week.

Eren Jaeger in Attack on Titan

Attack on Titan season 4, episode 13, "Children of the Forest" left things in a very exciting place. As well as more being learned regarding Sasha's death and the origins of the Titans, a new conspiracy started to take shape. Equally, furthering the villain turn of Eren Jaeger, The Jaegerists raided the restaurant hideout and held the core group hostage. The moment served to bring Eren face-to-face with his former friends. As such, a tense conversation was promised between Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Gabi. Fans were already struggling with the wait to see what happened next. Though that was compounded by the delay, they at least now have an official date to look forward to.

That being said, a number of fans have openly lamented the decision in the comments beneath the announcement. This was mostly due to the episode still being released elsewhere. As a result, those who watched (or know where to look) will know what transpired. Some believe this could merely fuel trolls to spend the week spoiling events for those who have to wait until next Sunday. As such, the wait will no doubt feel even longer. However, should fans succeed at remaining unspoiled, the episode will no doubt be worth it — and leave many even more eager for Attack on Titan season 4 to not be the end of the journey.
