James McAvoy and Charlize Theron clash in the latest clip from Atomic Blonde. Following her work in this year's box office hit The Fate of the Furious, Theron promises to only further prove her worth as an action movie star with Atomic Blonde. Theron will be appearing in the film as Lorraine Broughton, an undercover MI6 agent in 1989, who is sent to a chaotic East Berlin to try and get her hands on a list of undercover secret intelligence agents operating in the area, before the Soviets come into possession of it. However, as Lorraine spends more time on the mission, she soon learns that not everyone is who she originally thought they were.

Based on The Coldest City graphic novel by Antony Johnston and Sam Hart, anticipation for Atomic Blonde has been steadily building over the past few months, ever since the first stylish Atomic Blonde trailer was released. Universal Pictures isn't showing any signs of slowing down in its promotion of Atomic Blonde either, having now released three consecutive clips from the film - Father FigureThe Politics of Dancing and Major Tom - over the past few weeks.

The studio has now unveiled yet another full clip from the film online, titled "Blue Monday". While it lacks any of the same, full-fledged action setpieces that were featured in the previous Atomic Blonde clips, the latest teaser for the movie is brimming with the same sexy, stylish edge as everything else that's been shown thus far - plus some fun banter from both Theron and McAvoy. You can check out the clip for yourself in the space above.

While he's currently busy with principal photography on next year's sequel Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde marks the release of what is only director David Letich's second feature film of his career. Coming off of his work co-directing the first John Wick with Chad Stahelski, Leitch appears to be bringing the same stylish visuals to life here as he did in that popular Keanu Reeves-led action flick. And in case that wasn't enough, Leitch also looks to be utilizing his keen eye for choreographing and filming action sequences once again in Atomic Blonde, with Theron performing some of the most cutthroat stunts of her career, several times throughout the film.

Both Theron and McAvoy are in the midst of very positive years for themselves, though, with the latter still riding high on the box-office and critical success of M. Night Shyamalan's Split from back in January. They've proven themselves to be two of the most charismatic leading stars of their respective generations - and in addition to the film's visceral fight sequences, getting to see McAvoy and Theron banter with each other for almost two hours is without a doubt one of the most enticing things that Atomic Blonde has to offer.
