Ubisoft's latest patch for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Update 1.1.1, addresses more than 100 known issues; it also adds in-game support for Ubisoft Connect Achievements. Since its launch back in November, many players' enjoyment of the newest Assassin's Creed entry has been beset by a whole host of immersion-breaking, and sometimes game-breaking, bugs.

As developer Ubisoft Montréal continues to work towards fixing the problems, the crew additionally managed to churn out fresh content. In mid-December, a new in-game event went live in the form of the Yule Festival. As AC Valhalla's first limited-time seasonal event, which concluded on January 7, the content for Yuletide ushered in seasonal decorations for the Ravensthorpe settlement, contests, and festive rewards. While fans await the next batch of fresh experiences, a litany of much-needed fixes have arrived in an update that should further improve the game's quality.

AC Valhalla's Update 1.1.1 is now live across all platforms. In a Reddit post, developers shared patch notes, outlining exactly what players can expect with regards to bug fixes. And there are lots of fixes, approximately 100 of them. Despite that, the update's file size isn't too large. The patch weighs in at about 6GB on PC, between 2-3GB on PS4, over 2GB on PS5, 6.6GB on Xbox One, and 7.5GB on Xbox Series X|S. Changes range from miscellaneous features like tweaking AI detection and adding previews to accessibility options to improving overall game performance and addressing various graphics, audio, and animations troubles. Dozens of known problems that plagued quests and progression have received necessary adjustments, too.

Plus, Ubisoft Connect achievements are now supported in-game. According to the patch notes, conditions that were previously met for "quest-related or not-repeatable achievements" will pop once players complete a new quest. Meanwhile, conditions previously met for "countable/repeatable achievements" should unlock whenever players perform an action related to those achievements.

Since the patch is just now rolling out, it remains to be seen how effective Update 1.1.1 will be overall. Hopefully, the vast majority of issues are now ironed out. That much should become clear in the coming days, though. And Ubisoft Montréal is bound to address any lingering glitches and trouble spots as they crop up.

Now fans await details about AC Valhalla's free DLC and paid content, which should start going live in the coming months. The free Season 2 content is slated to arrive on an unspecified date in March (introducing a new game mode, extra gear, and items) as well as another festival. Two paid expansions are also in the works, the first of which – Wrath of the Druids – will launch sometime in the spring.
