Loadouts were added to Assassin's Creed Valhalla in an update that went live on May 24, 2022, and the new feature allows Eivor to swap between saved gear and skill sets from the inventory and ability screens. In order to unlock the option to save loadouts, the Armory needs to be constructed in the Ravensthorpe settlement. The Armory building is located at the eastern edge of Ravensthorpe in Assassin's Creed Valhalla directly to the left when facing the Jomsviking Hall.

Before the Armory can be constructed, Ravensthrope will need to be upgraded to at least a level three settlement. The only way to upgrade the Ravensthorpe settlement is to construct other available buildings using Supplies and Raw Materials. Upgrade items can be obtained by completing Raids around England. It should be fairly easy to reach level three if players focus on Raids instead of story missions or other side activities.

Once the Ravensthorpe settlement is at least level three, players can build the Armory using 100 Foreign Supplies collected from River Raids in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Many additional Foreign Supplies will also be needed to fully upgrade the Armory. For example, the first upgrade after building the Armory costs 400 Foreign Supplies. After fully upgrading the new building, players will have five loadout spots to use. Saved loadouts will be displyaed on armor stands that will appear in the Armory with each new upgrade and loadout slot that's unlocked.

How To Assign Loadout Gear & Abilities In Assassin's Creed Valhalla

How To Use Loadouts in Assassin's Creed Valhalla Inventory Loadout

When loadouts are first unlocked, there will be two gear slots to use, and the player's current armor pieces and weapons will be assigned to both. To create unique loadouts, players can select one of the slots and use the clear option. All of Eivor's gear will be unequipped, then players can assign armor, melee weapons, and a bow. The equipped gear will automatically be saved to the seleceted loadout slot.

Along with assigning gear to different slots, players can create unique ability loadouts. Different ranged and melee skills in Assassin's Creed Valhalla can be assigned to loadout slots at the bottom of the ability page. Similar to gear loadouts, players can clear, assign, and equip abilities to the available slots. Abilities are tied to gear loadouts, so if the second slot is selected on the ability screen, it will automatically change Eivor's gear to the second loadout on the inventory page.

Having different loadouts available with a quick selection will make it easier to switch between stealth, agility, or heavy attack builds. Creating powerful builds with different abilities, weapons, and armor makes it easier to be prepared for any mission or side activity without wasting time reassigning every item one at a time. Using the new loadout feature in Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a great way to try new builds and create a diverse display of powerful gear in the Armory.
