Assassin's Creed Valhalla is full of secrets to uncover, including Easter eggs with pop culture references for fans to enjoy. Some of them are very well hidden and easily missed if players aren't paying close attention. To find every hidden Easter egg in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, players will need to travel around the large open world and thoroughly explore every region.

The Assassin's Creed series has included Easter eggs in most of its games. From Dark Souls to the Legend of Zelda, and even hidden messages that point to new or previous titles in the series, Assassin's Creed games traditionally include a large variety of secret references. There are usually a few that are more difficult to find, and Assassin's Creed Valhalla continues this trend.

There are references to Harry Potter, Lord of the RingsDark Souls, and even Desmond from the early Assassin's Creed games scattered all around England in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Players looking to find them all will need to go inside small houses, complete side quests, or find secret areas. Some of them are in random spots of the overworld that aren't tied to any other exploration task. Although there are a large number of Easter eggs to find in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, there are five that are more hidden than the others, and players may have a hard time locating them initially.

AC Valhalla's Lord Of The Rings Easter Eggs Is Hard To Find

AC Valhalla Easter Egg Ring of Power

The Ring of Power is the main object of focus in the Lord of the Rings series, and there's a secret Easter egg portraying it in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The reference is located in the western region of Glowecestre inside a house that's near the edge of where the Afon River and Thames River meet. There is a key that's hidden in a box behind the house that players will need to find in order to enter the building and find the Easter egg.

After obtaining the key, players can go inside to find a letter on the table that has references to Bilbo Baggins. The note talks about a smaller door and the homeowner's desire to keep out unruly houseguests because of a previous incident with a druid. There are obviously slight changes in the story to relate it to Assassin's Creed Valhalla, but it's clear these are references to Bilbo and his general disdain for guests. There is also a ring next to the letter that's an obvious portrayal of the Ring of Power from Lord of the Rings.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Has Hidden Harry Potter Horcruxes As Easter Eggs

Another popular movie or book reference in Assassin's Creed Valhalla is the inclusion of a Harry Potter Horcrux list. In Lunden, players can travel southeast of St. Paul's Cathedral to find a small building that's being guarded by a snake. The building requires a key that's located on the nearby balcony northwest of the mock Voldemort hideout. The balcony with the key is to the left of a circular area with leftover ruins of pillars around it.

Upon entering and inspecting the room, players will find a note that lists the different Horcruxes from Harry Potter in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. There are a few question marks on the note listed at number seven to reference Voldemort's lack of knowledge about the last Horcrux he made. The table holding the note also contains replicas of the various items that Voldemort used to hide pieces of his soul. Assassin's Creed Valhalla includes this small Harry Potter reference that is very easily missed if players aren't looking for it.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Has A Hidden Dark Souls Bonfire

AC Valhalla Easter Egg Dark Souls Bonfire

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is not the first game in the series to feature a Dark Souls-style bonfire, but players are also able to meditate beside it in this game. It's located to the east of the Ledecestre viewpoint in Ledecestrescire. There are ruins in the area next to a hidden armor piece where players can explore and find a small fire with a sword sticking out of it.

Meditating in Assassin's Creed Valhalla is used to change the time of day, and bonfires are used to rest in Dark Souls to replenish the player's health and act as a checkpoint. After finding the bonfire reference in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, players can choose the meditation option to further immerse themselves in the two games' connection. Those that are familiar with Dark Souls will understand the importance of the bonfires and can enjoy locating the bonfire in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

AC Valhalla's Game Of Thrones Easter Egg Is Tyrion's Cell

AC Valhalla Easter Egg Tyrion Cell

Assassin's Creed Valhalla also references Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones. In the East Anglia area, there is a fortress that players can conquer in the Dunwic region. It's along the eastern coast of East Anglia and infiltrating the fortress is part of the "Triumphant Return" story mission. In the back of the fortress, there's an area with holding cells and a hole in the floor.

Players can drop down and find themselves in a cell with an opening that leads to a drop off of a cliffside. The cell is a reference to Tyrion Lannister's cell in the Vale in Game of Thrones. There is also a note that players can find in the left corner of the cell that has a direct quote from Tyrion. However, unlike Tyrion, if players jump out of the cell in AC Valhalla, they perform a leap of faith and dive safely into the water below.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Has A Hidden Legend Of Zelda Easter Egg

AC Valhalla Easter Egg Rooster Attack

The last hidden Easter egg deals with one of the animals in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. There are roosters throughout the game in towns and fields. These creatures are harmless when left alone, but every rooster in the area will relentlessly attack if Eivor strikes one of them. This is, of course, a reference to the Cuccos in the Legend of Zelda.

Players familiar with the Legend of Zelda series know that the Cuccos are dangerous when provoked. They will attack Link continuously until he perishes, and they're featured in multiple games. In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, the roosters will react similarly, but Eivor can dispatch them fairly easily depending on how many are involved in the attack.

There are various Easter eggs scattered throughout Assassin's Creed Valhalla, but some of them are less noticeable than others. Players looking to find every pop culture reference will need to travel around the map and look thoroughly for some of the smaller references, like the Dark Souls bonfire. Finding hidden Easter eggs is a fun and unique part of adventuring and discovery in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
