Assassin's Creed Valhalla is the latest in Ubisoft's popular action-adventure and, now, RPG series. Even though the games focus on single-player experiences, the Assassin's Creed franchise typically offers players DLC after launch, keeping players engaged and involved in the story long after the game's initial release date. So, when is Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Season 2 of DLC coming?

Assassin's Creed Valhalla debuted as a launch title for both the Xbox Series X|S and the PlayStation 5 in November of last year. The game is set in the year 873 and follows Eivor, a Viking raider, in a fictional invasion of Britain as the character gets involved in a conflict between the Brotherhood of Assassins and the Templar Order. While many critics and players alike criticized Assassin's Creed Valhalla for basically being Assassin's Creed Odyssey but with Vikings, the game received generally favorable reviews for its story and gameplay mechanics.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla had its first (free) DLC event in December with the release of Season 1, which included seasonal events and in-game content like the Viking Yule Festival, as well as a couple new modes. However, the real DLC extravaganza for the game begins later this spring. For those looking for more content to dive into with their Viking warrior, here's everything known about upcoming Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC Season 2 Release Date

Assassins Creed Valhalla Yule Event

2021 will have two major expansions for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Season 2, which is free to all players, will launch in March and include a new, combat-oriented game mode, a Jomsviking update, new Valhalla Settlement festivals and, of course, new gear and cosmetic items. However, the first true major expansion, which also launches sometime this spring and is called Wrath of the Druids, is part of the game's paid Season Pass. The DLC will take players to Ireland, where they'll face a druidic cult and "fight their way through haunted forests and dazzling landscapes while gaining influence among Gaelic kings," according to a Ubisoft press release.

Following this first drop of DLC is The Siege of Paris in summer 2021, in which players, as their powerful Viking raider, will battle against historical figures in Frankia, infiltrating Paris and the River Seine in a lengthy siege. Even though these two are the only announced DLC bundles for Season Pass holders in Assassin's Creed Valhalla so far, if Assassin's Creed Odyssey tells players anything about the future of the newest entry into the series, they'll have much, much more to look forward to over the next year or two.
