The new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok DLC provides players with many new events and mysteries to solve. One of those new mysteries are Jotun Blights, which can be found throughout the map of Svartalfheim. Finding these Jotun Blights is both a gift and a curse to players.

Jotun Blights are areas of land in Svartalfheim that are cursed and inflict pain to players that enter the area. However, they can be eliminated by the player finding and chasing after red skulls in the area and smashing them. It may be difficult though as once the player enters the area; the edges of the screen will fade to black and the character will struggle to move effectively.

Much like finding all the Dwarven Gemstones in AC Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok, the player must search several areas to find the Jotun Blights. The good news is after smashing the first curse, a trail will appear to the player that leads to the next Jotun Blight. Once the last one is destroyed, the player will receive a powerful Rune that will reverse the curse on a piece of Hriedmars Armor.

Location Of Every Jotun Blight In AC Valhalla: Dawn Of Ragnarok

AC Valhalla Dawn of Ragnarok Map

Although using Odin’s sight after eliminating the first Jotun Blight will show a trail to the next one in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, finding the first one may be difficult. This guide will lead the player to the first one and find all of the Jotun Blights quickly.

Gullnamar Region

There is only one Jotun Blight in this region. It is located at the High Point in the four giant statues, just north of the Grenhellir Shelter in Dawn of Ragnarok. Once inside the four giant statues, there will be a blizzard and a red skull hanging from a rope.

The skull must be shot by the player and it will transport to another location. Use Odin’s sight to find the trail leading to where the skull transported. Once it is destroyed the second time, a Rune will appear for the player to collect.

Svaladal Region

There are three Jotun Blights in this region. The first one is located in the southern area of this region, southwest of Dimm Mylna and east of Eitri’s High Point. The red skull will be on top of a high rock and follow the same previous steps to destroy it.

The second Jotun Blight is in a cave between Stor Mylna and a High Point to the west of it across a river. The Power of Jultenheim in Dawn of Ragnarok must be used to destroy this red skull as the player will need to chase it down. It can be picked up from a dead body outside the doorway.

The final Jotun Blight in this area is at a frozen lake to the northwest of Gnafandi Keep and the southeast of Gullthorp.

Vangrinn Region

The fifth and final Jotun Blight is located in the swamps north of Hodda Shelter and covered in snow.  The second attempt at destroying the red skull will require the Power of Jultenheim, which can be found on a dead Jotun in the area. Once destroyed, the player will have every rune necessary to break the curse of Hreidmars Armor in Dawn of Ragnarok.
