The cosmetics and gear it includes are heavily themed after Japanese battle armor and weapons once used by samurai, and they look like what many players hope to see in Assassin's Creed Red. The official Twitter account for Assassin's Creed (via PushSquare) advertised the release of the new DLC pack, stating "this collection of artifacts once belonged to a renowned Eastern warrior." The series has visited many fascinating time periods in many locations worldwide, but Feudal Japan has always been a highly requested setting. The Yurei Bushido Pack is the best look yet at what Assassin's Creed's samurai could look like yet.
Assassin's Creed Red's Feudal Japan Setting Is Still Far Away
Assassin's Creed Valhalla has grown larger with the release of DLC packs, including unlockables and cosmetics themed from different historical periods. However, the social media account rarely highlights the release of these cosmetic DLC packs. The odd decision to bring attention to these stylish armor sets, weapons, and mount for Valhalla suggests Ubisoft could be teasing a glance into what fans may see in AC Red.The recent Assassin's Creed showcase celebrated the franchise's 15th anniversary and gave fans a lot to look forward to. New Assassin's Creed projects announced during the showcase codenamed Jade, Hexe, and Red were revealed, with very few details regarding their gameplay or release dates. Ubisoft also announced that a final free story DLC would be releasing soon for AC Valhalla titled The Last Chapter, which promises to end Eivor's epic Viking adventure and help set up the following installments in the series.Next year's Assassin's Creed Mirage claims to be ditching the RPG elements found in the last few major installments of the franchise. Instead, Mirage will focus more on the rooftop freerunning and social stealth fans enjoyed from the series' first games.
