Assassin Club is an action movie involving a group of elite killers, and its actors and the cast of characters they play reflect the call for the best of the best. In the spirit of The Bourne Identity, Bullet Train, and John Wick but with a little Hunger Games thrown into the mix, Assassin Club follows a hitman who reluctantly has to defend himself against other contract killers sent to take him — and each other — out. It's a professional contest where one winner collects millions and keeps their life while the other six lose the game and their lives.
The movie is directed by Camille Delamarre, helmer of Brick Mansions and The Transporter Refueled, and stars a handful of familiar figures in the action genre. As with any ensemble compiled for a story of first-rate mercenaries, the actors cast in Assassin Club are varied in their appearance and talent. Henry Golding As Morgan Gaines
Leading the cast of Assassin Club is Henry Golding in the main role of Morgan. He's a career assassin looking to get out, but first, he needs to complete one last job: take out six others contracted to kill him, and one another. Golding is best known for his starring roles as Nick in Crazy Rich Asians and the title character of the G.I. Joe spinoff Snake Eyes, and for hosting the BBC's The Travel Show. He also plays Dry Eye in Guy Ritchie's The Gentleman, Tom in the holiday romance film Last Christmas, Sean in A Simple Favor, and Mr. Elliot in the 2002 adaptation of Jane Austen's Persuasion.
Daniela Melchior As Sophie
Cast in the love interest role in Assassin Club, Daniela Melchior plays Morgan's girlfriend, Sophie. She doesn't know he is in the hitman business, which is why he wants out, to lead an honest life and settle down with the woman he loves. Melchior began her career in Portugal in telenovelas and local movie productions as well as providing the voice of Spider-Gwen in the Portuguese dub of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Her big Hollywood break came in a DCEU blockbuster with her portrayal of Ratcatcher 2 in The Suicide Squad. She can also be seen in Fast X, the Road House remake, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Sam Neill As Caldwell
For the obligatory handler role, Assassin Club has cast Sam Neill. His character, Caldwell, is also something of a mentor to Morgan. Neill famously played paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant in Jurassic Park, a part he reprised for the sequels Jurassic Park III and Jurassic World: Dominion. The actor is otherwise well-known for his performances in Australian and New Zealand movies including Dead Calm, My Brilliant Career, A Cry in the Dark, The Piano, and Hunt for the Wilderpeople. His other Hollywood movies include The Hunt for Red October, In the Mouth of Madness, Event Horizon, and Peter Rabbit and its sequel.
Noomi Rapace As Falk
Cast as the main antagonist of Assassin Club, Noomi Rapace plays a character called Falk. She is Morgan's biggest rival as the only one matched enough in skill to really post a threat. Rapace broke out as the original Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and its two sequels. Transferring to Hollywood productions, she starred as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw in Prometheus, a role she briefly reprised for Alien: Covenant, and played Madame Simza Heron in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and Harriet Baumann in the TV series Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan. She also led the 2021 Icelandic folk horror film Lamb.
