The trailer for Ash vs. Evil Dead season 3 promises more blood, more laughs, and more Deadites being carved up by Bruce Campbell's iconic hero. While it took over 20 years to arrive, Starz's Ash vs. Evil Dead has proven to be one hell of a crazy ride for loyal fans of Sam Raimi's Evil Dead franchise. Despite Campbell now pushing 60-years-old, he's shown himself to still be fully capable of kicking demonic ass, and wielding his trusty chainsaw.

As fans will recall, Ash vs. Evil Dead season 2 ended quite happily for Ash and friends. Thanks to some handy time travel, Ash was able to defeat Baal, resurrect Pablo, and return to his own time as a hero to his hometown of Elk Grove. Of course, if Ash got to be happy, there wouldn't be much of a story to tell, and it won't be long before the braggadocios hero is drawn back into the fight against evil.

Fans have had to wait longer than usual for Ash vs. Evil Dead season 3 to arrive. Seasons 1 and 2 both debuted in October of their respective years, and finished up their 10-episode runs before the end of the Christmas/New Years holiday season. That said, Ash devotees were a bit disappointed when summer came and went with no premiere date announcement. Thankfully, that recently got cleared up. Ash vs. Evil Dead season 3 debuts on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 9pm. Starz has released a brand new trailer for season 3, which can be seen in all its gory glory below.

A new element being introduced into the plot of Ash vs. Evil Dead season 3 is that Campbell's loudmouth demon-slayer is now a father. As much as Ash likes to brag about his various sexual conquests, it's not really a surprise that he's managed to sire an illegitimate child along the way. Said child is named Brandy (Arielle Carver-O’Neill), an Elk Grove high school student who is not pleased to find out that Ash is her long-lost dad.

One other interesting subject that Campbell has said Ash vs. Evil Dead season 3 will tackle is why exactly Ash ended up as the chosen one, destined to protect humanity from the Deadite scourge. That topic was never really addressed in the films, despite how unsuited Ash often seemed to the task. Based on past seasons, Ash vs. Evil Dead's answer to the question will probably be hilarious.
