Gearing up for his turn as a first-time dad in season 3 of Ash vs Evil Dead, Ash has some advice for his teenage daughter. In February, Ash vs. Evil Dead is going places the previous Evil Dead films and seasons 1 and 2 never ventured to go: fatherhood. True, Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) served as a mentor to his young sidekicks Kelly Maxwell (Dana DeLorenzo) and Pablo Bolivar (Ray Santiago) as they joined the square-jawed antihero in his battle against deadites in seasons 1 and 2; but parenthood, as Ash is about to discover, comes with an entirely different set of responsibilities.
Campbell first hinted how the family dynamic of Ash vs. Evil Dead was going to change in season 3 of the show when he revealed last summer that his character would discover he had a teenage daughter, and Brandy (Arielle Carver-O’Neill) was formally introduced to fans at New York Comic Con in October. And while more details about how Ash discovers he's a parent have yet to be revealed, it appears that the chainsaw-handed, boomstick-slingin' savior of Elk Grove, Michigan, has the whole dad thing down.

In a hilarious new video tweeted by the production titled "Who's Your Daddy? with Ash Williams," the wisecracking force of nature formerly known as Ashy Slashy discusses the topic of how to settle arguments with your teenagers. Ash begins the video by saying, "Having a kid isn't always smooth sailing. You're gonna fight about all sorts of stuff" including "curfews, money" and "who gets the remote."
Ash then gives the advice to deal with things "in a mature responsible way." After a quick laugh, Ash swiftly changes course and in his trademark, blunt delivery adds, "Kick their ass out, slam the door in their face and don't let those lazy scrounges back in until they say 'Uncle,' or in my case, 'King.'"
Longtime fans of Ash are bound to love Ash's no B.S. advice, which, of course, is punctuated by a sly reference to his "Hail to the King, Baby" line from the ending of Army of Darkness. The great thing is, just like that last film in the Evil Dead trilogy in 1992, it's easy to see Campbell has just as much love and enthusiasm for the role of Ash in the 30-second "Who's Your Daddy?" video than he did in the early days. Sure, Campbell is 25 years older, but he clearly has more gas in the chainsaw tank than ever.
Teasing a different tone than in earlier seasons, Campbell and company return to Ash vs. Evil Dead on STARZ on February 25.
