The very concept of time travel always manages to captive the minds of audiences. They love to imagine what period they would visit and what they might do in the said period. In video games, movies, and tv shows, this becomes a reality much to the fan's delight like one of the strangest and best Arrowverse showsLegends Of Tomorrow.

Following the exploits of a group of misfit superheroes as they travel through time, the Legends have been to plenty of bizarre yet enjoyable time periods. Always ending with some kind of craziness, there are almost too many fantastically fun time periods to count.

Victorian London

the Legends arrive in Victorian era London

The thing about Legends is that a lot of the time periods they end up visiting are usually only a one-time thing. During the third season, the Legends went to Victorian-era London in search of what they believed to be a time-traveling vampire.

Instead, Damien Darhk was revealed to the culprit but there was still plenty of fun to be had. The ambiance of the time period coupled with the idea of the whole Dracula-style story added to the whacky yet enjoyable nature of the story and introduced audiences to Martin Stien's diabolical ancestor.

Golden Age Of Piracy

the Legends arrive in the Caribbean and come across Blackbeard

While the Golden Age Of Piracy wasn't utilized in the best way possible in season 3, the very idea of the Legends visiting the time of Blackbeard was a great time period for the misfits to explore.

Watching them work alongside famous pirates and look for treasure and goods like the evils of old, the 1700s' era of piracy was a great and enjoyable period to see the Legends venture to, and despite its short-lived nature, it ended up being fun.

Woodstock

The Legends watch a unicorn kill a woman

Given the wacky nature of Legends Of Tomorrow, it's still wild to think that they went from protecting the time stream to battling magical creatures. All that began at Woodstock, with a deranged unicorn and the utilization of some of history's greatest musicians.

Watching the Legends race around and garner mystical ingredients from the likes of Jimmi Hendrix and Jerry Garcia is weird but that's the nature of the Legends. Coupled with a hallucination scene and the prospect that Woodstock offered, the time period was a great venture for audiences.

Alternative 2018’s

The Puppets of Tomorrow fly through space and time

Time travel doesn't just lead to current and well-known time periods. It can lead to alternate timelines as well. After John Constatine tries to mess with the time stream, he and the shapeshifter Charlie find themselves unaffected by a wave of weirdness that rewrites the current time period of 2018.

What follows is a whole bunch of bizarre timeline possibilities. From a Charlie's Angel's team to the A-team and of course, the teammates being changed into puppets, makes for some amazingly weird and fun alternate periods for the Legends to visit.

Doomworld

Sarah and Mari hold Felicity Smaok prisoner before Damien Dark

Now, not all the time periods that the Legends visit are fun due to hilarious encounters. Sometimes, they're dark yet intriguing eras, such as the twisted present the villainous Legion Of Doom creates with the Spear of Destiny following a terrible betrayal.

Former heroes either become henchmen for the Legion, everyday people, or nonexistent.  Seeing a world where the Legion won and the possibilities it presented like a vigilante Felicity Smoak raises more than a few eyebrows in a good way. Honestly, it's one storyline that should've gotten a spin-off.

Star City 2046

Old Man Oliver battles future Deathstroke in 2040 Star City

If there's anything better than alternative presents, alternative futures are just as interesting. In a bleak future where heroes have become outlawed, the world of 2046, especially that of Star City, offered new concepts, ideas, and a grim and one-armed version of Oliver Queen.

Seeing the Legends interact with a future version of Oliver, a new kind of Deathstroke, and offer up possibilities for more ideas is one of the best time periods the Legends visited. It was so fascinating the CW brought it back for season six of Arrow with Oliver's daughter six years earlier.

1776

Rip hunter recruits the Red Coats to hunt George Washington

Interactions with historical people are always going to be good for a laugh. Traveling to the Revolutionary War era to stop a brainwashed Rip Hunter, the Legends find themselves having to protect George Washington who strikes up an unlikely friendship with the deplorable Mick Rory.

Watching the Flash villain Heatwave get buddy-buddy and close with the likes of America's first president is eye-candy gold for the viewers and lets fans of the show find enjoyment in a great season 2 episode.

The 1940s

The Legends of Tomorrow meet the Justice Society

It's always awesome to see old heroes appear in a world like the Arrowverse. For most of season 1, the Legends really just met up with current or known heroes. Then, in season 2, the Legends traveled to the 1940s and WWII and ran across the Justice Society.

Coupled with the atmosphere and feel that the 1940s gave off, the prospect of the characters meeting the classic team the Justice Society works well in the strange series and sets the tone and precedent for the 2nd season.

1988

Ray and Zari fly by the moon with a baby Invader

Homages to classic movies and shows are always a good way of putting energy into an overused time period. When the Legends travel to the 1980s' in a bid to save Ray Palmer, the episode ends up being filled with dozens of ingenious references to classic movies and inspirations from the '80s.

From easy-to-spot references like E.T and less obvious ones like Aliens, "Phone Home" ended up being a fantastically enjoyable episode chock full of smart nods and easter eggs to one of Hollywood's most overused periods.

The Wild West

The Legends and Jonah Hex get into a standoff

Out of all the time periods the Legends visit, one of the most fun they went to ended up being the wild and dangerous west. Over the course of a number of episodes, the Legends came to the old west time again, with each episode raising the bar.

From a humble beginning with the Legends encountering the likes of Jonah Hex, getting into duels, and turning into a massive blue teddy bear to kill a time demon, it all added to the feel of the series and the wild nature of the west.
