Throughout the Arrowverse’s run since its beginning in 2012, several characters have come to life on the various shows, but not everyone has made it out alive. From main players to recurring ones, hero or villain, viewers of the DC TV shows have seen the deaths of plenty of DC characters. But following the big 5-part crossover between Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, and Black Lightning, the birth of Earth-Prime has opened the door for dead characters to come back to life. The series finale of Arrow revealed that Oliver Queen managed to bring a number of previously deceased characters back to life. When he sacrificed himself in Crisis on Infinite Earths to reboot the universe, so did the continuity.

It still remains to be seen what other changes he caused as the characters across the shows are learning more about their new Earth. With future seasons coming as well as more crossovers, any character that died pre-Crisis that hasn’t been brought up yet has the chance to be alive again. These are 10 Arrowverse characters that will hopefully be revealed to be alive in the future.

Astra Zor-El

One of the biggest deaths that happened on Supergirl was the sudden death of Kara’s aunt Astra, Alura’s twin sister. She was, without a doubt, one of the more compelling personal villains in the Girl of Steel’s early run. Astra’s death always felt a bit premature as the character could have still benefited from being around for future arcs.

Should Astra be back from the dead, it would come with a big change already. Since the third season, Alura is now played by Smallville’s Erica Durance, meaning that Astra would now look like the former Lois Lane actress.

Shado

One of the most iconic Green Arrow characters that made her way into Arrow early on was Shado. Depicted as one of the more complex players in Oliver’s life in the comics, the TV incarnation had a short run. While viewers met her twin sister in later seasons, Shado’s death is still recognized as one of the show’s unfair write-offs. Rather than getting to be utilized as the character from the comics, Shado ended up being a temporary love interest for Oliver in the flashbacks before she was executed when Oliver had to choose between her and Sara. Bringing Shado back and give her a reboot would allow the Arrowverse to properly adapt her character this time.

Captain Boomerang

Despite being one of The Flash’s iconic villains, Arrowverse’s version of Captain Boomerang was more associated with the Stephen Amell-led drama. Introduced in the first crossover between the Emerald Archer and Scarlet Speedster, George Harkness had a limited run on the small screen.

In fact, Harkness wouldn’t be seen again until the season 5 finale “Lian Yu” when he teamed up with Prometheus. Despite dying off-screen, it was a waste of one of the prominent members of the Rogues. In the post-Crisis world, the fastest man alive should get an opportunity to take on the boomerang-wielding baddie.

Malcolm Merlyn

Known as Oliver’s biggest enemy in the lore, Merlyn the Dark Archer got an interesting depiction through Malcolm Merlyn. Starting as the first big bad in Arrow season 1, Malcolm was always the perfect villain that viewers loved to hate. The villainous archer even had some redeeming qualities before he died in the season 5 finale along with Captain Boomerang. Even though Oliver is now dead, it would still be intriguing to see what a revived Malcolm would do post-Crisis.

Livewire

Leslie Willis a.k.a. Livewire still is one of the best villains to have made her way from page to screen on Supergirl. Being one of the reoccurring baddies over the seasons, Livewire was formidable as she was witty and her sacrifice in season 3 was still a major surprise.

But with Supergirl being renewed for another season and existing on an Earth with the other Arrowverse heroes, a Livewire resurrection would be more than entertaining. Not only would it be fun to see the last daughter of Krypton and Leslie go toe-to-toe again, but also how Livewire would do with other heroes.

Ronnie Raymond

The Flash lost a hero early on when one half of Firestorm sacrificed himself in the season 2 premiere. Ronnie Raymond, who had just married Caitlin Snow before dying, was a hero until his final minutes by helping Team Flash close the wormhole. But it always felt like there were more stories to be told for him, both as Firestorm and as a separate character.

Martin Stein

The Crisis on Earth-X crossover packed quite the punch with the tragic death of Martin Stein, the other half of Firestorm. After being shot several times by Nazis on Earth-X, Martin’s condition began to affect Jax as they shared a psychic link.

He ultimately took the serum that would separate the two of them which caused Martin to pass away. If Ronnie were to be resurrected, so should Martin that could potentially even give fans a reunion of the original Firestorm.

Eddie Thawne

When Eddie Thawne shot himself, Eobard Thawne was seemingly erased out of existence before making his way back the following season. Eddie, however, wasn’t so lucky especially as his body was sucked into the wormhole. 6 seasons later and that mystery has yet to be solved which makes the Crisis effects the perfect opportunity to bring him back. Perhaps this time Eddie would come back as not an ally, but a foe to Team Flash.

The Ray

During the opening moments of Crisis on Infinite Earths, The Ray was one of the heroes to bite the dust as Earth-X got destroyed by the Anti-Monitor. Even after Oliver rebooted the Multiverse, it remains unclear if that universe was brought back. Given that The Ray is one of the LGBT heroes that have entered the Arrowverse, it would be a major shame if he somehow didn’t exist in this post-Crisis world.

Leonard Snart (Captain Cold/Citizen Cold)

Leonard Snart will always remain as one of the franchise’s standout characters as Wentworth Miller’s Captain Cold became a show-stealer. Even his Earth-X doppelganger Leo/Citizen Cold became a huge fan-favorite. While Miller did a guest spot in the recent crossover, Leo hasn’t made an appearance in the flesh since The Flash season 4. Whether it would be the Earth-1 or Earth-X version, the Arrowverse deserves to have at least one Snart alive on Earth-Prime, should Miller ever want to revisit the character.
