For the 2019 Arrowverse crossover event, Crisis on Infinite Earths, Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) returns alongside Tyler Hoechlin as Superman. Hoechlin first appeared in the Arrowverse in the Supergirl season 2 premiere (which was also the show's official debut on The CW after airing season 1 on CBS). He appeared in a handful of episodes but then didn't return until the 2018 crossover event, Elseworlds, which officially introduced his Lois Lane, as played by Tulloch. Last fans saw of the two was in a touching moment during Elseworlds, when Superman proposed to Lois and she accepted. The pair moved to Argo City, the last surviving piece of Krypton, becauses Lois was pregnant.

All of the Arrowverse shows - Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and the upcoming Batwoman - are gearing up for the next world-changing crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths. With Arrow season 8 being its last and The CW bringing back all kinds of DC actors for the event (including Burt Ward as Robin), Crisis is looking to be a true DC TV event. And with Hoechlin's Superman confirmed to return, alongside Brandon Routh as Superman, reprising his role from 2006's Superman Returns, it only makes sense for Lois to appear as well.

Now, EW is reporting that Tulloch will indeed return for Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event and fans will get to meet her and Clark's child. It's unclear how much Lois will appear in the five-hour event, but fans are no doubt excited to catch up with both her and Hoechlin's Superman. Though the pair have appeared very little in the overall Arrowverse, they've easily won over plenty of fans.

In addition to Tulloch, Hoechlin, Ward and Routh, it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend that the Monitor actor LaMonica Garrett will play the Anti-Monitor as well for Crisis on Infinite Earths. Plus, it was confirmed that Routh will play Kingdom Come Superman, created by Mark Waid and Alex Ross, during the crossover. Between all the returns, not to mention all the superheroes from the various shows teaming up, Crisis is set to become the biggest DC TV crossover event yet. And considering how many superheroes united for the Crisis on Earth-X event in 2017, that's saying something.

Of course, it still remains to be seen how much each of these returning characters will actually appear in Crisis on Infinite Earths. It could be that Lois plays a very small role, simply showing up early on to introduce her and Clark's child before sitting on the sidelines for the remainder of the crossover. However, with Crisis on Infinite Earths expected to have far-reaching ramifications on the Arrowverse, there's no doubt that the events of this year's crossover will affect every character in the multiverse - including Lois Lane.
