It may look like superheroes are all the same, more or less. Different abilities, but their goals remain similar. However, that's not always the case and it certainly isn't true in the Arrowverse. This fictional TV universe has been around for a few years now, and has managed to introduce multiple characters, heroes, villains, sidekicks, and so on.

Despite the fact that Arrowverse heroes often meet and work together, they're not all the same. Each of them has a distinct personality, the way they see the world around them, interact with other people, or approach fighting crime. Considering their varying characters, some of the heroes have become fan-favorites while others stayed in their shadows.

People born in the sign of Cancer will then find it easier to relate to some of the characters but will have a hard time understanding others. Cancers tend to be tenacious, loyal, emotional, sympathetic, and persuasive people - not everybody in Arrowverse then embodies these traits.

Will Relate: Malcolm Merlyn

John Barrowman as Malcolm Merlyn in Arrow

Of all the characters in the Arrowverse, Malcolm Merlyn aka the Dark Archer is one of the most determined ones. Cancers are tenacious people who tend to never give up. And Merlyn never lets others take the victory, he's able to plot and plan for as long as he needs to come out on the winning side. Even if it means he's going to have to manipulate people closest to him, such as his daughter Thea.

Won't Understand: Ava Sharpe

Legends of Tomorrow Ava

It's difficult to understand Ava Sharpe because at first, she doesn't truly understand herself. Once Ava learns the truth about being a clone, she struggles with finding herself and discovering who she is. Ava is rather awkward at relationships with others and has the tendency to say or do the wrong thing, despite her best intentions. Cancers, on the other hand, usually find making friends easy, or at least easier than Ava.

Will Relate: Moira Queen

Moira Queen looking haughty in Arrow

Moira Queen and Malcolm Merlyn work together for most of the first season of Arrow, but Moira is a much more sympathetic character than her villainous friend. Her tenacity helps her not to give up even when Merlyn threatens to harm those Moira cares about the most - her two children, Oliver and Thea. Moira also has the ability to persuade people and is good at dealing with people and the public thanks to her sympathetic nature.

Won't Understand: Mick Rory

Legends of Tomorrow Turncoat Mick Rory

Cancers are gentle people by nature who feel things deeply and show their emotions to other people. Mick Rory is neither of these things. He started out as a criminal and only later joined the Legends.

While it's true that Mick has a softer side, it peaks out only very rarely, and usually in connection to his special hobby - writing romance novels underneath an artistic name.

Will Relate: Oliver Queen

Green Arrow and his mom Moira don't always get along, especially when he realizes she lied to him repeatedly. But it's clear from whom he inherited his tenacity. Oliver Queen survives in the worst environment possible, and while the stay on Lian Yu would break many people, he comes out of it as a warrior. He also shows his more emotional side that's typical for Cancers when he falls for Felicity and lets other people get close to him after his return from the island.

Won't Understand: Lex Luthor

Cancers may understand Lex Luthor on an intellectual level but they will have a hard time relating to him on an emotional level. The reason for this is that Cancers always take those close to them into consideration, are sympathetic toward others, and loyal to their friends and family. Lex, however, only truly cares about himself and his primary objective is to get as much power and influence as he can, regardless of everybody else.

Will Relate: Sara Lance

Sara Lance wearing her Black Canary costume in Arrow

Oliver Queen might be a good example of a survivor, a person who gets through the obstacles no matter what life throws at them (until they don't). But the same can be said for Sara Lance who also showed her tenacity on more than one occasion.

Sara first survived the shipwreck of Queen's Gambit and then training with the League of Assassins which couldn't have been easy for her.

Won't Understand: Laurel Lance (Black Siren)

Black Siren Arrow Flash

The alternate version of Laurel Lance arrives at Oliver's Earth and immediately begins causing chaos. Unlike her Black Canary counterpart, Black Siren is a person who doesn't seem to like people very much and only cooperates with them if she has the chance to get something out of it for herself as well. And even though she later changes, she's not the type of person Cancers would like to spend time with because she's just too cold and unpredictable.

Will Relate: Ray Palmer

Ray looking wistful in Legends of Tomorrow

People born in the sign of Cancer are known for being well in touch with their emotions - even when they don't always show them to other people. Ray knows what he's feeling and he's mostly open to those around him. Plus, just like Cancers, he's sympathetic and loyal. He easily makes friends thanks to his kind nature and once he builds said friendships, he will stick by those close to him no matter how dangerous it is.

Won't Understand: Kate Kane

Ruby Rose as Batwoman in Elseworlds

Cancers tend to be easily approachable and friendly but that's not the case for Kate Kane a.k.a. Batwoman. It might be because of her past losses but Kate doesn't like to open up to people and it takes her a lot of work and conscious effort from her side to start trusting someone. She might not be as paranoid as her more famous cousin Bruce Wayne but she's still nowhere near as warm and emotional as Cancers are.
