Superheroes don't spend every minute fighting crime and villains with special powers. No, they also find the opportunity to do various other things. They go to their jobs and try to juggle maintaining both their superhero activity and their everyday job. And if that wasn't enough, there's also the fact that they're busy forming romantic relationships and kissing people.

The Arrowverse is no exception in this area. With so many superheroes already introduced, the vast fictional universe has also created multiple couples and romances. Some were fairly brief, others lasted for a long time - and some shared the best kisses in the Arrowverse.

The Alternate Kiss

Barry and Iris kiss on Earth 2 in The Flash.

The relationship between Barry Allen and his future wife, the journalist Iris West, is one of the most iconic ones in the Arrowverse. Barry and Iris shared many kisses on screen, but for this list, let's take a look at a different version of the couple.

When Barry travels to Earth-2 and assumes the identity of this Earth's Barry Allen, he also goes to see Iris. However, what he doesn't expect is that Iris will start kissing him passionately - since the Iris from his Earth and Barry aren't together at this point. Barry's genuine surprise leads to a hilarious moment that makes the audience laugh with ease.

The Alternate Kiss 2.0

Leo Ray Kiss

Let's stay at an alternative Earth a moment longer. In the fourth season of The Flash, the audience meets Leo and Ray, a couple of fighters for freedom who live at the Nazi version of Earth, Earth-X. Leo is an alternate version of Leonard Snart, the criminal from the main storyline, but he's much more noble.

When the original Snart dies, Leo eventually replaces him as a member of the team of Legends. But before that happens, he and his husband Ray share a kiss together and stand side by side in a battle.

The Reunion Kiss

Caitlin Ronnie

Caitlin has never had the best of luck at relationships. But one of the worst moments of her life came when she lost her fiancé Ronnie. Even though they later reunited, Ronnie's body was controlled by professor Stein as the two men formed the superhero Firestorm together.

The fact that Stein was the one who determined Ronnie's actions made this scene hilarious. Ronnie - or Stein, really - kisses Caitlin all of a sudden and then says that the kiss was from Ronnie. Caitlin takes it in stride and replies: "I look forward to meeting you in person, professor."

The What-If Kiss

Barry and Felicity kiss on the train

Barry and Felicity are one of the couples that never truly happened - but would have been perfect together. Felicity liked Barry from the first moment she met him, and he also returned her affection since they had a lot in common. He even went to dance with her at a party even though he stated he couldn't dance.

And in the first season of The Flash, Barry ran to accompany Felicity on her way back home. They kissed, but even though it was a sweet moment showing what could have been, they were both already in love with someone else by this point.

The Distracting Kiss

Arrow Thea and Roy kiss while Roy gets an injection

Kisses sometimes can have power close to magic - if they happen between two people who genuinely like one another. Thea Queen and Roy Harper didn't start on good terms since they met when Roy stole her purse.

But they eventually overcame their differences and got together. The moment when their relationship kicked off happened when Roy needed to get injected. And since he was afraid of needles, Thea kissed him to distract him from the pain - which surprised Roy so much that he forgot all about the puncture.

The Reunion Kiss 2.0

Sara and Oliver Kiss

Speaking of reunion kisses, there's also the one between Sara Lance and Oliver Queen. These two had a brief relationship in the past but it ended in tragedy when the ship they were on, Queen's Gambit, sank.

However, when Sara returned back to Starling City, they quickly rekindled their romance - and it all started with this kiss that was intense, full of passion. And even though Sara and Oliver later broke up, there's no denying they were a good couple - both fighters, with tragic past experience and a strong desire to right their wrongs. They remained close friends even after their break-up, and when Oliver died, Sara took it really hard.

The Goodbye Kiss

Sara Snart Kiss

Sara Lance mostly prefers to date women in the show - her longest relationship was with Ava Sharpe - but she also shared some truly memorable kisses with men since she likes people regardless of what their gender is.

Sara and Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold, the former The Flash villain, started out as co-members of the same team, but the chemistry between them was obvious. And when Snart decided to sacrifice his life to save others, he and Sara shared a goodbye kiss before he died.

The Fake Kiss

Caitlin Barry Kiss

This moment in The Flash gave some of the fans exactly what they were asking for - but in the wrong way. A lot of people ship Caitlin and Barry together but they never truly shared a kiss.

When Barry kissed Caitlin out of nowhere, she was surprised at first but then kissed him back, proving there was something between them after all. The only problem? This Barry wasn't the real one but a shapeshifter who took on his appearance. Still, the chemistry between them was palpable, and the kiss serves as the best reminder of what could have been.

The Kryptonite Kiss

Mon-El Kara Kiss

Mon-El and Kara Danvers aka Supergirl are another of the couples on this list that started on rocky terms. For one, they didn't like each other very much at the beginning and also, Mon-El could be somewhat difficult from time to time.

But when he finally found the courage to confess his feelings for Kara and said she was his kryptonite, the two hit it off - and sealed the start of a new phase of their relationship with a kiss. What makes this scene and similar ones even better is the fact that their actors - Chris Wood and Melissa Benoist - are now married.

The First Kiss

Oliver and Felicity kiss for the first time on Arrow

Oliver and Felicity weren't originally meant to be a couple since Felicity was supposed to be a much less important character. But the creators brought them together and many fans loved them. Their romance wasn't perfect, they broke up multiple times, but in the end, they reunited in the afterlife.

As for the best kiss between them, one of the most notable ones is their first kiss. It happened in the first episode of the third season of Arrow when Oliver kissed Felicity to prove that he did have feelings for her.
