The Arrowverse is one of the most prominent superhero universes. Not just because of its storylines but mostly thanks to the talented actresses and actors who have amazing chemistry with each other. However, some fans might not realize that some of the Arrowverse stars have already worked together, side by side, in different shows and movies.

This gives their fans the unique opportunity to see how the actors meet and interact with each other in roles very different from the ones in the Arrowverse - whether it is because they are family, friends, or even romantic partners.

Superman/Batman: Apocalypse (2010)

Superman, Supergirl and Batman work together in Superman Batman Apocalypse

In live-action movies, it wasn't until 2016 that Batman and Superman interacted, where the pair briefly went to war. But in animated movies, it happened long before that. Superman/Batman: Apocalypse saw the presence of two Arrowverse actors, who played side characters but drew attention to themselves.

Kevin Conroy portrayed older and bitter Bruce Wayne in the crossover "Crisis on Infinite Earths" while Summer Glau played the villainous Isabel Rochev on Arrow. Their roles were only partially different in this film. Conroy voiced Batman, but Glau switched sides and became the heroic Supergirl instead.

Stargate: Atlantis (2005 - 2009)

David Nykl played a supporting character on Arrow but he still left a strong impression on fans as Oliver's friend and occasional enemy, Anatoly Knyazev. Fans of The Flash may have also spotted Paul McGillion, who appeared as the criminal Earl Cox in three episodes and worked with Ralph Dibney at one point.

Both actors had bigger roles and interacted regularly on the show, Stargate: Atlantis, where Nykl played scientist Radek Zelenka and Paul McGillion played the team's doctor, Carson Beckett. The two actors also appeared in small roles as teachers in the George Clooney fantasy film, Tomorrowland (2015).

Doctor Who (2005 - Present)

Laurel's mother, Dinah Lance (Alex Kingston), and Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) might not have interacted in the Arrowverse but the actors playing them do have a big history together. First meeting in the popular British sci-fi series, Doctor Who, Kingston, and Darvill played River Song and Rory Williams.

Unlike in the Arrowverse, they were much closer there and spent a lot of time together. Thanks to time-traveling shenanigans, Rory later discovered that River was his daughter, which allowed them to bond even more on their adventures with the Doctor.

The Walking Dead (2010 - Present)

The Walking Dead Emily Kinney and Kirk Acevedo appear on the show

The Walking Dead has ten seasons at the moment so it's not surprising that has included multiple actors known from the Arrowverse. Audrey Marie Anderson (Lyla Michaels), Kirk Acevedo (Ricardo Diaz) and Juliana Harkavy (Dinah Drake) all had brief roles in the show.

However, it was Emily Kinney (Brie Larvan) and Chad Coleman (Tobias Church) who ended up having much bigger roles in the show, playing Beth Greene and Tyreese Williams. Introduced in season 2 and season 3, fans will agree that they played two of the best characters on the show.

Prison Break (2005-2009; 2017)

Some actor duos become so iconic they appear side by side in multiple shows. Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller played brothers in the now-iconic TV series Prison Break in which Miller's Michael did his best to break his brother out of prison.

Purcell and Miller originally switched sides when they played the villainous Heatwave and Captain Cold on The Flash, but they eventually became heroes as well and fan-favorites thanks to the easy dynamic between them.

400 Days (2015)

Brandon Routh and Caity Lotz play together on 400 Days

No Arrowverse fan should miss out on watching the sci-fi film 400 Days since it stars not one, but three major Arrowverse actors. More specifically, Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/Atom), Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/the White Canary), and finally Tom Cavanagh (Harrison Wells).

As the title suggests, the film focuses on a group of astronauts who are separated from the rest of the world for 400 days. Funnily enough, Routh's and Lotz's characters have romance scenes in the film, unlike their Arrowverse characters who were never a couple, just good friends.

Piranha 3DD (2012)

Some films don't take themselves too seriously and it's best to approach them this way. As the title of this film suggests, its heroes have to face the attack of a deadly piranha... or maybe more than just one.

It also stars multiple actresses, who, unfortunately, didn't interact in the Arrowverse. Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow) plays the leading part of Mandy, and Meagan Tandy (Batwoman's Sophie Moore) appeared in a supporting role as Ashley.

Glee (2009-2015)

When Barry Allen and Caitlin Snow sang together in the first season of The Flash, some fans of the show might have been surprised by the fact that Grant Gustin could sing really well (just like Caitlin was). But not those who are familiar with the musical show Glee.

Gustin had portrayed the part of Sebastian Smythe in seven episodes of the show. However, an even bigger part went to the future Supergirl Melissa Benoist, who played Marley Rose and was on the show for three years. Gustin and Benoist later got the chance to sing together in the Arrowverse as well.

Code 8 (2019)

Most fans of the Arrowverse will know that Stephen Amell and Robbie Amell are related - they're cousins. However, when they got the chance to work together again, their respective characters weren't so friendly.

Robbie Amell portrayed Connor, a young man with special powers, who starts working with Stephen Amell's criminal Garrett in order to get enough money for his family. Needless to say that their plan doesn't go as they'd imagined. Before the film was made, Stephen Amell and Robbie Amell also appeared in a short version of the story in 2016.

Grey's Anatomy

Medical dramas belong among popular TV show genres. Before she became Supergirl's sister Alex, Chyler Leigh played doctor Lexie Grey on the long-running Grey's Anatomy. By the time David Ramsey came on to play a small part of Jimmy Thompson in one episode of the show, Leigh was already portraying Lexie. She appeared as Lexie in over a hundred episodes.
