'Arrow' Promo & Images: ATOM vs. Arrow & The Suicide Squad Returns

Deadshot and Cupid on Suicide Squad in Arrow

Before the future of The DC Cinematic Universe slate was revealed, fans had already seen a version of the Suicide Squad in action in season 2 of The CW's Arrow. The show had built up a rogues gallery for itself leading up to the team's debut, and since then, fans of the show have been looking forward to when they might get to see the villainous team of anti-heroes ride again.

Next week will feature the team's return in an episode titled "Suicidal Tendencies," which, along with the re-introduction of the Suicide Squad, will also feature Diggle and Lyla's wedding, a fight between the Arrow (Stephen Amell) and the ATOM (Brandon Routh), and more.

Well, in addition to the previously released set of stills teasing the face-off between The ATOM and the Arrow, The CW has released some new images that focus squarely on the Suicide Squad's return. Check them out below:

Fans of the show will be quick to notice the absence of Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White) in the crew as well as the addition of Amy Gumenick's Cupid in his place. The episode will also feature the debut of Senator Joe Cray (Steven Culip) - a politician at the center of a rescue mission from the fictional Republic of Kasnia. Comic fans will recognize the character as the dirty politician from Joe Ostrander's Suicide Squad run who used the Suicide Squad to further his political agenda. Felicity's mom (Charlotte Ross) will also be returning in the episode.

Things have been ramping up on the past few episodes of Arrow. Audiences are beginning to see the seeds planted for what could be the climax of season 3 as Team Arrow goes up against the League of Assassins. Season 4 of the show is said to change everything about it from a grassroots level, which could very well mean we'll be getting the most shocking season finale of Arrow yet.
