While the Arrowverse version of Deathstroke is one of the franchise's toughest players, The CW's Slade Wilson is less lethal than other versions. One of the most beloved DC characters in The CW's DC TV universe is Manu Bennett's iteration of Deathstroke, who became a big part of Arrow in the first two seasons. In Arrow season 2, Deathstroke served as the main antagonist for titular hero, while the flashbacks revealed how Oliver Queen and Slade became enemies. The Arrowverse later reformed Deathstroke in Arrow season 5, bleeding over to the following season too. While Slade hasn't appeared in the Arrowverse since Arrow season 6, Deathstroke is a big fan-favorite for fans of the franchise.

During his villainous turn, Arrowverse's Deathstroke had been injected by Mirakuru, a dangerous super-soldier serum that could either kill an individual or make them into super-humans. While Slade's body accepted the Mirakuru and gave him enhanced abilities, it also messed with his mind. Ultimately, the Mirakuru did more harm than good for Deathstroke — but without it, Slade is not as deadly as some other iterations of the DC character. In the comics, Slade's metagene is triggered through experimentations, so he had more control over his actions than the Arrowverse character. But since Mirakuru made Slade unstable, he wasn't thinking straight, preventing him from being an even deadlier force.

Had Deathstroke not been infused with the Mirakuru, it is possible that he would have been even more challenging to take on. With Mirakuru in his system, Slade would occasionally see hallucinations of Shado, as well as have berserker-like behavior whenever he got angry. Arrowverse's Deathstroke is also slightly younger than his comic counterpart, meaning that he lacked the maturity Slade has in the comics. Furthermore, this version of Deathstroke never had to take on powerful Arrowverse heroes like Superman or Supergirl, or someone as physically (and intellectually) challenging as Batman is.

Because Slade trained Oliver during his early time on Lian Yu, the two Arrow characters were more equal than some might realize. It would, however, be intriguing to see how Deathstroke would do against other Arrowverse heroes, now that there are characters like The Flash, Supergirl, Superman, Black Lightning, and more. Even if this Deathstroke isn't as deadly as some other iterations, it doesn't take away his incredible character arc during his time in the Arrowverse. Bennett's portrayal of Slade is one of the better ones in the franchise, and Deathstroke is one of the reasons why Arrow season 2 was as strong as it was. Despite Arrow having ended, it would be interesting if the other shows eventually used Deathstroke in a different capacity.

It would mainly be fun to see Arrowverse's Deathstroke post-Crisis on Infinite Earths since Slade never succeeded in killing Moira Queen in Earth-Prime's history. After Oliver rebooted the Multiverse and created Earth-Prime as the Spectre, the events of Arrow season 2 were retooled by changing the outcome of Slade kidnapping the whole Queen family. In this timeline, Moira is never killed by Deathstroke as Oliver managed to stop him. Because of that major continuity change, Crisis on Infinite Earths never clarified what Deathstroke's history looks like now in the Arrowverse, hopefully, something the other shows can answer.
