The American superhero television series Arrow is based on the DC comics character Green Arrow. But what is fascinating about this show is that technically it's not just a story of a superhero in fact about a man who just wants to do right by the world. It is because of his determination and calm attitude that makes him so admirable and inspiring.

In the finale of Arrow, Oliver Queen sacrifices himself to save the multiverse and resurrect the people he had lost earlier during the last eight years. The CW series ends on a comparatively positive note since his death restarts the cycle of life again and saves his homeland, turning it into a city free of crime. It is no wonder, therefore, that Arrow gained a lot of critical acclaim and despite the end of Season 8, which was the last of the franchise, fans are still interested in their favorite role models and are wondering what the cast might be doing now.

Paul Blackthorne

Paul Blackthorne is an English-American actor who became popular after his role in the Oscar-nominated Bollywood film Lagaan as Captain Andrew Russell. It was his first film role after breaking into acting via television commercials. Later, he starred in many TV series, including the titular character of Harry Dresden in The Dresden Files as well as The Lipstick Jungle.

As fans recall, Blackthorne was known for playing Detective Quentin Lance, Sara and Laurel’s father who, initially, had a vendetta against the green-hooded vigilante. He eventually went on to become the mayor of Starling City.

Since the show finished, Blackthorne has featured and picked up several projects. He is considered to have signed an upcoming role in the sci-fi comedyHome Invasion, and will also be the voice behind one of the actors in the animation film, Pierre The Pigeon Hawke. He is also set to produce a female football documentary called Victorious.

Juliana Harkavy

Juliana Harkavy as Black Canary in Arrow

American actor, writer, and singer, Juliana Harkavy is known for her portrayal of Rebecca in Dolphin Tale and also Alisha in the post-apocalyptic television series The Walking Dead.

But she plays an important role on Arrow, playing Detective Tina Boland who eventually turns out to be the Black Canary and her true name is revealed to be Dinah Drake. She was going to star in a spin-off of the show, called Green Arrow & the Canaries but unfortunately, the show was canceled and it seems that she has no other upcoming projects scheduled.

Colton Haynes

Colton Haynes in Arrow as the Arsenal

While Colton Haynes had already made himself known for playing Jackson Whitmore in Teen Wolf, many Arrow fans would remember him best for playing Roy Harper in Arrow. While he started as a small-time thief and Thea’s boyfriend, it didn't take long before the writers developed his character and he soon transformed into his alter ego, Arsenal.

However, since Arrow has finished, Haynes has gone on to star in numerous projects, including a role in the new AMC queer InstaGay series called I Run Hot by Ilana and Eliot Glazer.

Willa Holland

Willa Holland as Speedy/Red Arrow in Arrow

While Willa Holland did an amazing performance as Oliver’s badass sister Thea as well as the on and off vigilante persona Speedy. Unfortunately, she doesn’t seem to have any big projects lined up after the finale of Arrow.

However, that's not to say she wouldn't be short of any offers soon. Since Willa has begun lending her voice to the Kingdom Hearts video gaming franchise, it's possible that she might also get more opportunities in this sector. Who knows? Maybe fans might petition for a Disney TV show based on the Kingdom Hearts video games.

Manu Bennett

Manu Bennet playing Deathstroke in Arrow

The New Zealand actor is primarily renowned for his roles in epic fantasy series such as Crixus in Spartacus, Allanon in The Shannara Chronicles, and Slade Wilson or Deathstroke in Arrow.

Sadly, the actor left the CW series shortly after the end of the second season because it was found out that he didn’t like the direction in which his character's arc was going and wished that the television show had closely followed the comics instead. He did return for a stretch in the fifth season but it is unclear as to whether he will be seen in the Arrowverse anymore in the future.

Colin Donnell

But what had he been up to since Arrow finished? Apart from appearing on the web talk show, Stars in the House, and the tv movie Love on Iceland, Donnell doesn’t seem to have any major projects lined up right now.

David Ramsey

Ramsey is an American actor, director, and martial artist, best known for his role as John Diggle in the CW series Arrow. Since the show ended, many fans have discovered that Ramsey has been recording a lot of Cameo videos and sending parts of the proceeds to the Red Cross.

Although fans harbor a deep desire to see him transform into Green Lantern, Ramsey has now taken on a different role in the Arrowverse; he has decided to take a shot at directing, starting with Supergirl and Superman & Lois.

Katie Cassidy

Katie Cassidy as Black Siren in Arrow

Katie Cassidy was notorious as the ‘scream queen’ for picking up too many horror movies during the early stage in her career. However, in the Arrowverse, she gets to play two dynamic versions of Laurel Lance as both Black Canary and Black Siren, who couldn't be more different from each other.

Since Arrow & The Canaries has been canceled, many people have wondered what projects she will be in next. Similar to Ramsey, it turns out that Cassidy has taken up the writing and director's chair, with her own personal project, America's Next Best President, now in post-production.

Emily Bett Rickards

Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity in Arrow

Felicity was one of the most popular characters in Arrow and heavily contributed to the success of the show. This was Rickards' first television role but she didn’t let that tie her down as she went on to explore many different projects while acting for Arrow, taking part in other movies like Funny Story, Brooklyn, and Cowgirls 'n Angels: Dakota’s Summer.

At present, it appears that Rickards is set to feature in We Need To Talk, playing the role of Amber. However, as of yet, it's not completely clear how she will be involved in the story. Emily has also recently signed up for a horror film called Rags, which is going to revolve around a serial killer trying to save some kids from another dangerous serial killer.
