Arnold Schwarzenegger tells spring breakers to stay home during the coronavirus outbreak. As the nation and indeed much of the world have gone on lockdown during the current pandemic, celebrities (like Matthew McConaughey) have stepped up to offer words of reassurance via social media, and also to give useful advice for folks who may not be entirely on-board with necessary safety measures like social distancing and self-isolation.

The importance of staying indoors and not spreading the virus via contact with large groups is indeed the core message of Schwarzenegger’s latest video, which the action hero and former California governor delivered from the comfort of his Jacuzzi while chomping one of his signature stogies. In the clip, Schwarzenegger generally implores people to adhere to the rules of social distancing but has a specific message for spring breakers who have been shown on the internet flocking to the beaches of Florida in spite of the danger to themselves and others. Of course there’s also a cameo from a Schwarzenegger pet (as in his last video where he was joined by his miniature horses). See the clip in the space below:

Indeed, Schwarzenegger makes staying at home away from people look like a lot of fun (of course it helps when you’re wealthy and live in a mansion). But the actor’s message is obviously an important one for people to hear, especially those who are young and healthy and clearly think nothing bad can happen to them as they descend on the beaches of Florida to partake in the usual array of spring break activities. Naturally, Schwarzenegger wraps up his lecture with a quote from Jingle All the Way, because it just wouldn’t be a Schwarzenegger social media posting if he didn’t give his fans one of his famous lines.
