Arnold Schwarzenegger is getting back into the spy game in a new, as-yet-untitled Netflix series which has just announced a massive cast lineup. Schwarzenegger stands as one of the world’s best-known actors. Making his debut in 1970’s Hercules in New York, it was not until 1982’s Conan the Barbarian that he truly became a household name. Two years later he would star as the T-800 Terminator in James Cameron’s sci-fi action film Terminator.

In 1994, Schwarzenegger would reteam with Cameron for the spy film True Lies, in which he played Harry Tasker, a secret agent struggling to balance his espionage work with his family life. Recently Netflix revealed that Arnie is getting back into the spy game in a new action series in which he will star as a CIA agent and the father of a fellow agent played by Top Gun: Maverick’s Monica Barbaro. Even more recently, the streaming giant announced more cast members, including How To Train Your Dragon’s Jay Baruchel, Aparna Brielle, and Arnie's Terminator: Dark Fate co-star Gabriel Luna. Other series regulars will include Andy Buckley, Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Barbara Eve Harris, Fabiana Udenio, and Travis Van Winkle.

Netflix suffered a sudden exodus of subscribers as of late, causing its stock price to plummet. With unprecedented growth in competing services, Netflix seems more intent than ever to maintain its position at the top of the streaming food chain. Being able to attract big-name talent like Schwarzenegger will certainly go some way to encouraging subscribers back to the service. If Arnold Schwarzenegger’s latest spy adventure is set to match the appeal of his previous espionage outing, perhaps Netflix may be on to a winner.
