Spoilers for Batman: Urban Legends #21 by DC Comics

DC Comics is introducing a series of new teen villains who are about to get scared straight at Arkham Academy, as an upcoming story will see Gotham's most at-risk teens be put into a special program. In a new look at Batman: Urban Legends #21, a handful of new faces will debut in the three-issue arc, plus a surprise return of a character who hasn't been seen in a few years will be enrolled at Arkham Academy.

The Elizabeth Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane is home to some of the sickest and most twisted villains in the DC Universe. The psychiatric hospital's regular patients and inmates include some of Batman's biggest foes, including the Joker, Bane, Mr. Freeze, the Riddler and Poison Ivy. There are several former staff members at Arkham who have broken bad, including Harley Quinn, Scarecrow, and Hugo Strange. Now, the DC Universe is about to get its own version of Scared Straight, as several new teen villains will spend time at Arkham Academy.

On his Twitter account, Dennis Culver shared that he will be teaming up with Hayden Sherman, Jordie Bellaire, and Pat Brousseau from DC Comics for a three-issue arc starting with Batman: Urban Legends #21, which will feature teen villains getting scared straight as new recruits of Arkham Academy. Culver shared Arkham Academy's first class, which features a handful of new characters. New teen villains include the "completely expendable" Scorn, Lil' Kitten, Deathtrap, The Noise, and Wannabe Wilson. Enigma, who appeared in Teen Titans as the possible daughter of the Riddler, will also be among the new Arkham Academy students.

Artist Hayden Sherman shared a look at each teen villain's new designs in Arkham Academy. The image (with Jordie Bellaire's colors) showcases an interesting mix of delinquents. From the more punk-looking The Noise and Lil Kitten, to the robotic Deathstap, and the Frankenstein-esque Wannabe Wilson, the cast of Arkham Academy each have a very unique look to them.

Sherman shared additional artwork from the teen villains of Arkham Academy, as the images provide a closer look at what to expect from the character's who are about to be scared straight. The art shows both Scorn and Enigma unmasked.

There aren't many details about what the story might look like in Batman: Urban Legends #21, but the new cast of teen villains should have readers excited about what to expect from the three-issue arc. Can the villains of Arkham Asylum scare the recruits of Arkham Academy straight? Readers will find out more when the three-issue Arkham Academy arc comes to comic book stores in November.
