Ariela Weinberg of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way has a heart full of love for the production after news of her and Biniyam using the show for fame came to light. Followers of 90 Day Fiancé stars Brittany Banks and Deavan Clegg were in for a shock upon coming across their claims against TLC after the finale. The producers and editing team were called “garbage a** people” by Brittany, while Deavan spoke about being in a dark place during filming for the reality show.
It’s not often that fans see their favorite reality TV stars speak in support of their respective edits on the show. While their fate depends entirely on how the editing team chops their footage, it’s only after the show airs that stars realize if they’re the heroes or villains of the season. With her journey in Ethiopia began on season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Ariela has followed the rules to the T. Along with Biniyam, Ariela hid the name and pictures of her baby for a whole year while still keeping her location a secret. But fans did call out Ariela for being “annoying” or “difficult” and also questioned her moves like the time when she’d made Biniyam walk in the heat with baby Aviel. And while Ariela had “clarified the reality” hinting at the editing not showing the whole truth, the 90 Day Fiancé star still appreciates the opportunity that TLC has given her.
In a series of heartfelt Instagram stories, Ariela expressed her thanks to the filming team of 90 Day Fiancé, and also all of her cast-members. The “reluctant TV personality” Ariela wrote touching messages for many of the crew members including her make-up artist, DoP, producers, and more. “You were there when Avi was born and you hugged me many a time when I was crying,” Ariela, who went through major anxiety during her emergency C-section, said about producer Vasoula Plakas. “I am still contemplating this reality TV journey. It is a trip seeing the TV version of myself,” continued the 90 Day Fiancé celeb. Plakas, too, replied to the touching story by confessing that she was “the lucky one” and now had a “friend for life” in Ariela.
The TLC personality also took out the time to write personalized messages to the rest of her season’s co-stars, including Deavan and Brittany who, on the other hand, seem to have soured on their relationships with the network. And with 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Tell-All not taking place this season, it’s fitting for Ariela to reach out to her fellow friends to show them and her fans her positive side.
However, Ariela thanking the crew also makes one realize that the journeys that TLC follows these 90 Day Fiancé couples include not just them and their family, but also the behind-the-scenes professionals. The outcome of the stars and their portrayal may switch when it reaches the editing room, but it’s the team that really knows their stories inside-out. It's not been an easy road for Ariela and Biniyam, but looks like the "world explorer" wouldn't mind exploring more of 90 Day Fiancé through a spin-off or two.
