Fans of Archie Comics may already be celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Riverdale gang, but the comic publisher has saved some of its most exciting news until now. Thanks to a newly expanded relationship with comiXology--the leader in all things digital comics--Archie and friends will be coming to readers of both physical and digital issues, side by side on release date.

Screen Rant is pleased to announce that starting September 23rd, 2020, new Archie Comics titles will release day-and-date on comiXology Unlimited, marking the first time a major U.S. comic publisher provides both physical and digital prints of an issue on the same day of publication to subscribers of the digital service.

New users who may be unfamiliar with the digital side of Archie's new release schedule can sign up for a free 30-day trial to dip their toe in the colorful comiXology library. With an Unlimited membership, users can enjoy as many titles as they want, anywhere they like.

Sabrina Something Wicked Comic Art

Today's news showcases how Archie Comics continues to pursue its own niche in the digital world. Starting off the digital trends in 2010, Archie Comics was among the first publishing houses to provide digital releases in a day-and-date format. They also utilized the music streaming platform Spotify, and released animated comics for their audience. Now all Riverdale comic characters and their related adventures will be available on comiXology, including side characters such as Cheryl Blossom, Josie and the PussycatsKaty Keene, and several more. And there's no wait; as soon as the September 23rd roll outs arrives, all titles will be made available to Unlimited subscribers.

This update is headlined by Sabrina: Something Wicked #3, so Sabrina fans rejoice. When last Sabrina is seen in issue #2, she's dealing with trust issues. She's made a new friend, but contemplates giving this acquaintance a memory-wipe spell. Is this the sort of thing Sabrina ought to be doing? Will she dabble in dark magic, as the series title may be foreshadowing? Readers will find out more with issue #3! Be sure you're ready for the comiXology jubilee, and never miss out on your favorite Archie Comics.
