According to Cyril Figgis voice actor Chris Parnell, Archer season 14 is currently in production, though the renewal has not been announced publicly. Adam Reed's hit adult animated sitcom premiered in 2009, and stars H. Jon Benjamin alongside Aisha Tyler, Judy Greer, Lucky Yates, Reed, and Parnell. Archer follows the misadventures of Benjamin's Sterling Archer, the narcissistic and dysfunctional special agent belonging to his mother Malory's (the late Jessica Walter) New York-based intelligence service, alongside his other similarly flawed colleagues as they conduct various operations across the globe.

During an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Parnell opens up about Archer season 13 following its conclusion in October 2022, briefly discussing how the series changed following the passing of Walter, while also sharing a surprising update about the show's future. Though FXX has not commented publicly on a potential Archer season 14, it seems the series has indeed been renewed. Check out Parnell's full response below:

"I think you got a pretty good sense of the big shift that happened with season 13 without Mallory around, sadly, without Jessica. But yeah, I think it's gonna be more of us doing spy stuff, but we've just started recording season 14, so it remains to be seen what else is gonna happen."

Everything We Know About Archer Season 14

Archer and Lana completing mission with giant diamond

Archer season 13 saw the series undergo a number of changes, as The Agency is acquired by the IIA (International Intelligence Agency) following the passing of Malory. As such, while Archer and his colleagues' missions continued, the team also had to contend with their new leadership as part of a larger conglomerate of espionage agencies under the command of Fabian Kingsworth (Kayvan Novak), dealing with issues including selecting a new Agency leader and the IIA's invasive monitoring of staff. However, it is eventually revealed that The Agency has been used for far more nefarious purposes by Fabian as part of a complex scheme that places Archer and his fellow agents as responsible for a number of major criminal actions.

After being framed for Fabian's crimes and forced to go on the run from the law, Archer and The Agency set out to take down the IIA leader once and for all, bringing down the villain and handing him over to Interpol. With The Agency independent once more, Archer assigns Lana (Tyler) as the new leader, who states she already has ideas on how to take the organization forward. While the season concluded without making clear what Lana's plans may be, Parnell's comments about the show's continued focus on espionage stories suggest that Archer will explore The Agency in the show's present day. Archer season 14 could potentially see the team grapple with their new positions both within the organization's changed hierarchy and as an independent agency.

With no word of Archer's renewal having previously been announced, Parnell's reveal that recording for season 14 is underway comes as a pleasant surprise. While an Archer movie had been discussed by Benjamin, the season 13 finale had left the show open-ended to further explore the new status quo. However, with Parnell having confirmed the series' latest development, it seems Cyril has more episodic misadventures ahead with Archer and the rest of The Agency.
