With each new season the hit animated series Archer from creator Adam Reed completely reinvents itself with new settings and all new stories for its wonderful cast of iconic characters.
The latest season which premiered in April on FXX - the ninth season if you can believe how much time flies - saw the Archer crew head to a tropical island where lost treasure, pre-WWII Nazis and a cannibalistic tribe all collided with the Archer family and their talking macaw. And if you loved Archer: Danger Island or haven't seen it yet, there's something special for attendees heading to Comic-Con International in San Diego later this month.
If you pre-order Archer: Danger Island at the Fox booth (#4229) at SDCC 2018, you'll get an exotic gift. Fox Home Entertainment has created an awesome Danger Island Survival Guide that fans will be able to take home, or on their next top secret mission to a volcanic island.
The first few seasons of Archer followed a relatively traditional format when it comes to its season-to-season lore before the creative team shifted to embrace a more anthology format, doing what they deem is fun and removing any creative restraints. That resulted in the fifth season becoming Archer: Vice, seventh season becoming Archer: P.I. and season 8 becoming Archer: Dreamland, each with their all-new takes on the main cast with all new standalone stories and settings. Danger Island was no different and if you saw how the 8-episode arc ended with an enticing cliffhanger, we're all in for something special when season 10 airs.
Season 10, which hasn't been titled yet, continues the theme of setting each new season story within Sterling Archer’s subconscious (how they get away writing each season so differently). It takes place in "a 1970s vision of the future," with an Alien-esque space setting.
