Unlike many other previous TV adaptations of games, such as the Resident Evil animated series, Arcane doesn't require viewers to have extensive knowledge of the game to follow along. Arcane showed off powerful characters from League of Legends and deepened their relationships. It's likely that Arcane's success will influence other video games to follow suit, creating series that even non-gamers can enjoy.

Apex Legends

Caustic, Bloodhound and Bangalore on the battlefield.

Apex Legends is a battle royale in which the player can choose a character to play as. Each character has its own set of abilities and unique personality. There are also animated shorts for fans to watch that give many of the characters a backstory and further develop the lore.

There are many characters in Apex that a Netflix series can focus on and expand upon their history. For example, Lifeline and Octane both have mysterious pasts that fans would like to know more about. Considering Apex has a devoted fanbase who already love its characters, a series based on the Apex games could be a huge success.

Overwatch

Overwatch is a PvP shooter that has the unique twist of focusing on heroes with special abilities. Similar to League, it's an online multiplayer game that has garnered a huge following over the years.

Overwatch is yet another game that has a huge cast of characters with rich voice acting, backstories, and a world full of lore. There are already comics that follow some characters in the Overwatch universe. Fans love the Overwatch animated shorts and have been asking for a series for years.

Considering Valorant came out more recently than games like League of Legends, there isn't such a massive selection of characters yet, but Valorant is constantly coming out with new Agents that are easy to use. If Netflix adapted Valorant, it could possibly introduce more agents and develop the lore. Like LoL, Valorant is also made by Riot Games, so the success of Arcane might make this possibility more likely.

Elder Scrolls

Elder Scrolls is a series of massive, open-world role-playing games. In each game in the series, players create their own character and embark on a high fantasy adventure consisting of magic, creatures to defeat, and more.

Considering the success of high fantasy series like The Witcher and Game of Thrones, Elder Scrolls would undoubtedly have its massive following eager to watch a series based on the games. The game series has been successful for years, with five entries in the main series plus a popular MMO, giving it a richly established world and in-universe history from which to draw potential storylines in a TV show.

Destiny 2

Destiny 2 characters going into a fight.

Destiny is an massively multiplayer first-person shooter in which players create unique characters and work together to take down hordes of enemies and battle bosses. There are a variety of story missions in Destiny 2 that players can take part in.

Given the huge world of Destiny, there's a lot that can be done in terms of a TV show. Creators of a series would have creative freedom in inventing a new main character since the game doesn't follow a specific person in particular. It would also appeal to many science-fiction fans and be different from fantasy adaptations like Arcane.

Fortnite

Fortnite is a battle royale that is known for its cartoon style and characters dancing over defeated enemies. It's a fun game that has gained massive popularity and success, especially among children. Fortnite has done collaborations with major movies and shows such as Avengers, Batman, and more.

Fortnite has slowly been developing its world and lore over the years, with the island playing a role as the main character. Each season has massive events and animated clips that have slowly begun turning into a story. Fortnite is already a huge success and a TV show would definitely contribute to that success.

Life Is Strange

Hannah and Max in a car.

Life Is Strange is an episodic video game, in which the player can make choices for the character and choose their path. It's heavily focused on the story and it's one that has resonated with many fans. It focuses on Max Caulfield, who has the power to turn back time and attempts to rescue her best friend Hannah.

Life Is Strange supposedly has an adaptation in the works, according to IGN, but it's been up in the air since 2016. Considering there's hardly been any news about the show, fans are unsure whether it'll ever come to screens. Either way, Life Is Strange seems right up Netflix's alley, and fans would be delighted if they picked this show up.

God Of War

Kratos and Atreus in God of War.

God of War follows Kratos, a demigod who's the son of Zeus in this game series that follows both Greek and Norse mythology. Kratos often battles Greek gods and goddesses and also builds relationships with them as he goes about his journeys, often seeking revenge.

Greek mythology is all the rage, with Disney+ working on Percy Jackson and the Olympians and HBO adapting the fantasy book Circe for TV. If Netflix wants to keep up with the Greek mythology hype of the moment, then adapting God of War would be an excellent idea.

The Legend Of Zelda

The Legend of Zelda follows Link as he goes on various adventures to save the land of Hyrule, and he often has to save the princess Zelda in the process. It's one of the most popular video game series of all time and one of Nintendo's most enduring flagships, with decades worth of lore behind it.

Dragon Age

Dragon Age is a high fantasy RPG in which players create characters and make personal choices that affect the events of the story. In each game, the player is a hero that often has to help save the kingdom or defeat powerful creatures.

Even though the players can make their own choices in the game, Dragon Age has an amazing world with a fully developed history. There are characters who are consistent throughout the games that are beloved by many fans, who would certainly love to see more of them. Its world consists of mages, elves, dwarves, and other creatures and would certainly be a show that fans of The Witcher would like.
