A description surfaces of Warner Bros and DC Films' Aquaman teaser that may screen at San Diego Comic-Con this month. Warner Bros' DC Extended Universe officially kicked off last year with Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and David Ayer's Suicide Squad. However, since both films received largely divisive reactions from moviegoers, the narrative around the DCEU has not been great, with many looking to Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman to be the shared universe's first unquestionable hit. That turned out to be the case, with reviews of Wonder Woman being positive and the film recently becoming the highest grossing DCEU movie at the domestic box office.

Since last year, Warner Bros has put a number of DCEU films into development, but the only two movies with confirmed release dates that are currently in production are Snyder's Justice League and James Wan's Aquaman. While Snyder's next entry in the DCEU is a team-up, Wan's film will focus on the King of Atlantis, Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa), who made his franchise debut in Batman V Superman. Still, with Justice League and Aquaman as the two next upcoming DCEU movies, they're likely to be the focus of Warner Bros' DC presentation at Comic-Con International in San Diego later this month.

Although Warner Bros hasn't confirmed which films will be featured in their SDCC panel - or when/where the panel will be - it's likely fans will be treated to a new Justice League trailer and the first footage from Aquaman. Now, a post from Reddit subcommunity r/DCEUleaks claims entertainment marketing firm Trailer Park has cut an Aquaman teaser for SDCC, revealing a brief description of what it contains:

It was around 1 min 30 secs long. ... It opens with some mellow piano music, showing Amnesty Bay with a voiceover from Momoa. The music then turns cinematic, Zimmer style I would say. We get various shots of the characters, Mera, Murk etc etc. The teaser ended with a really really cool scene of Arthur standing on a rock type thing and activates his trident and creates a massive wave.

First off, since this Aquaman teaser description comes from a subreddit with a history of posting both viable information and what essentially boils down to fan-fiction, take these details with a major grain of salt. A description for a new Justice League teaser surfaced on DCEULeaks just last week, but its accuracy was quickly refuted by The Wrap's Umberto Gonzalez. Of course, that Justice League teaser description was said to be culled from other sources, whereas this Aquaman description supposedly comes from someone who saw the teaser themselves - though it's unconfirmed whether the reddit user actually works for Trailer Park.

That said, this Aquaman teaser description does follow a similar structure to the SDCC 2016 Justice League trailer, which featured a selection of footage focused on introducing the main characters - and stayed away from the CGI-heavy scenes included in the first proper Justice League trailer. Considering Aquaman has been filming since the start of May, it's certainly possible Wan and Warner Bros have enough footage to cut a teaser together in time for SDCC later this month.

Still, while this Aquaman teaser description seems viable, and fits with the likelihood of Warner Bros and DC presenting some form of footage from Wan's upcoming film, it remains to be seen how true it turns out to be. Of course, with SDCC less than three weeks away from kicking off, we'll learn more about what Warner Bros' plans to bring to their presentation. If that turns out to be an Aquaman teaser, fans will no doubt be excited to get their first glimpse of Wan's take on the King of Atlantis.
