Warning: spoilers ahead for Justice League #62!

In the latest issue of DC Comics' Justice League, Arthur Curry's Aquaman just delivered his most epic attack without needing any amount of water or sea life. Having traveled to another dimension to take the fight to their new foe Brutus, the League are scattered and Aquaman finds himself separated from his allies. However, the family who take him in offer him an impressive means to fight back despite being nowhere near any body of water, Arthur's primary source of power.

In previous issues of Justice League from writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist David Marquez, the Justice League has been fighting the interdimensional "mega-power" known as Brutus, who hails from the same world as Naomi McDuffie, a new hero who's also classified as a mega-power in the DC Universe. Seeking to claim the League's Earth as his own, the villain has clashed with the heroes multiple times, only to be forced back through the portals he came from, returning to his own barren homeworld. Recent issues have seen the Justice League determined to follow Brutus, looking to be more proactive in taking him down for good. However, this proved to be a pretty big mistake, as their arrival saw them split apart from one another and their powers dramatically increasing in a way that makes them difficult to control.

Having been sent to Brutus' dimension by the Flash, Aquaman wakes up in the home of a family who took him in. While they're just as curious about him as he is them, the family's husband and father, Gondor, reveals that he saved Arthur from a region known as the "No-Zone", as decreed by this world's biggest and baddest villain, Zumbado. While Aquaman was at first disheartened to learn that he couldn't detect any nearby bodies of water, he ends up finding a way to fight back nonetheless: driving a giant battle tank to do some major damage against Brutus.

Despite Brutus managing to take down Superman and Black Adam with ease, Aquaman firing salvos at the villain in his new war machine certainly looks as though it's doing a solid amount of damage. Furthermore, it buys essential time for Wonder Woman's mother Hippolyta and Barry Allen's Flash to arrive and help their allies. While Aquaman already unleashed his epic "wall of sharks" attack on Brutus in an earlier issue, many fans forget that Arthur is a super-strong, super-durable warrior king even without his aquatic abilities - something this moment brings front and center.

While Aquaman driving a tank and firing its massive cannon right at Brutus is certainly an epic scene, it looks as though the Justice League's challenges are far from over. The issue ends with the arrival of Zumbado, the mega-powered conqueror of this world and the villain who killed Naomi's parents. Given the struggle the Justice League has had just with Brutus, it's likely that the team of heroes are in for a major high-stakes fight, and one in which they'll be glad to have Aquaman among their number, no matter how far they may be from the ocean.
