Jason Momoa may have found success as an actor, but the Aquaman 2 star doesn't want his kids to follow in his footsteps. Momoa, 42, started modeling and acting when he was a teenager. The Hawaiian native got his big break when he landed the role of Khal Drogo in the first two seasons of Game of ThronesSince appearing on the hit HBO show, he's starred as a lead in series such as Discovery Channel's Frontier and Apple TV's See.

In 2016, Momoa joined the DC Extended Universe as Arthur Curry/Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He played the superhero for a solo film in 2018 and will reprise the role in its upcoming sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The highly anticipated follow-up will expand the story of the Justice League member who is also the king of Atlantis. Momoa will star alongside Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who reprise their roles from the first movie. Filming for Aquaman 2 began in June with a release date set for late 2022.

With Aquaman 2 and other projects in the pipeline, Momoa is definitely at the peak of his Hollywood career. However, the actor said in a recent interview with ET that he doesn't want any of his children to follow his career path. Momoa and his wife, actress Lisa Bonet, have two children: Lola, 14, and Nakoa Wolf, 12. According to the Game of Thrones star, one of his kids has already expressed interest in acting but he's not doing anything to encourage the ambition. On the contrary, Momoa said that he'll "try his damnedest to keep them out of it." He explained that while he loves the craft, being in the entertainment industry comes with so much pressure.

I love storytelling, I love theatrical things, I like directing and filmmaking, but I just want them to, you know, really to go for other things. If they [really] want to, maybe. But I don't want them to get into acting. It's very hard on people and I don't want them to have that pressure. I'm tough, I can handle it, but I wouldn't want to put someone I love [through] that.

Momoa added that he is exploring other avenues behind the camera. Prior to taking on the mantle of Aquaman, Momoa wrote and directed a number of small films. He's also produced several titles, including his upcoming Netflix action thriller, Sweet GirlMomoa is also credited as a co-story writer for Aquaman 2.

While Momoa may be against the idea, there have been plenty of successful Hollywood dynasties over the years. To name a few, Drew Barrymore, Angelina Jolie, the Baldwin brothers, and the Olsen sisters all come from a family of actors. Interestingly, Momoa is also surrounded by talented artists in his blended family. Aside from himself and his wife, his stepdaughter Zoë Kravitz (Bonet's daughter with musician Lenny Kravitz) is also an accomplished actress with a string of box office hits under her name. Despite his hesitation, the Aquaman 2 star cannot deny that the acting bloodline also runs deep in his children.
