Amber Heard continues her training for Aquaman 2 in a new image. Heard made her DCEU debut as Princess Mera in 2017's Justice League. Coming off the heels of that box office bomb, she had a much more prominent role in 2018's Aquaman as Arthur Curry's (Jason Momoa) love interest and ally in Atlantis. That film was a resounding success, grossing over $1 billion worldwide. Heard also appeared in Zack Snyder's Justice League this year.

Officially titled Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the DC film will technically be Heard's third outing as Mera. As with every superhero blockbuster, the sequel's plot details are being kept firmly under wraps. Director James Wan is returning, along with Momoa as Aquaman, Patrick Wilson as his half-brother Orm Marius aka Ocean Master, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta. Pilou Asbaek (Game of Thrones) has also joined the cast in an unspecified role. Production of the sequel got underway earlier this summer, but much of the cast are continuing their quests to stay in superhero shape.

Recently, Amber Heard shared yet another post on social media documenting her Aquaman 2 training regiment. The latest photo comes courtesy of her Instagram page, which shows the actress in workout garb sprawled out on a floor mat, looking exhausted after what was presumably an intense workout. Heard captioned the photo, "Another day at the office," which may indicate this particular workout took place on the Aquaman 2 set. Check out the photo below:

This photo comes in the midst of the ongoing controversy between Heard and her ex-husband Johnny Depp. Amid their legal battle last year, the former couple each accused the other of verbal and physical abuse. After Warner Bros. forced Depp to resign from the Fantastic Beasts franchise, many demanded the same thing happen with Heard. This led to rumors that she was fired from Aquaman 2, which were later debunked. A producer recently came out in support of Heard, saying that the fan pressure never had any impact on their decision to keep her on.

Despite what anyone may think of the decision, Heard has been wholly welcomed back by James Wan the Aquaman cast. As evidenced by the numerous workout posts, she seems excited to return and play Mera and is taking the training very seriously, while some of her cast mates like Momoa have admitted to slacking off a bit. With DC FanDome coming up in Fall, this would be a prime time to debut a first look at Heard and the rest of Aquaman 2's cast in superb superhero shape.
