The first look at Aqua Teen Hunger Force's upcoming film, Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm, reveals Carl as a hoard of aliens in a new clip. The animated series premiered on Adult Swim back in 2001 and followed the surreal adventures of Master Shake, Frylock, and Meatwad, a group of anthropomorphic fast food items who live together and engage in amusing interactions between their human neighbor, Carl, and a range of celebrities, historical figures, and random villains. A previous feature film based on the show, Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters, was released in 2007. Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm was announced last year as part of Adult Swim's deal with HBO Max and is set to debut in 2022.

Now, Adult Swim has given audiences their first preview of the upcoming film with an exclusive clip shared at this year's Adult Swim Festival. The footage finds the Aqua Teen crew in space as Carl transforms into an alien-like creature that Master Shake claims will hug you until you are dead. Carl then multiplies and a chaotic battle ensues. Check out the official first look below:

All of this news, in addition to star Dana Snyder's teased story details, will certainly excite fans of the series, who have waited seven years to see the group take on a new set of adventures. It won't be much longer now before audiences get to see the members of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, along with Carl, reunite on-screen and the footage promises an epic return.
