Apple just sent out press invites for its next big hardware event, teasing that new gadgets will be 'unleashed' on October 18. For any given year, there are multiple Apple events to look forward to. Whether it's to announce a new iPhone, Mac, or the latest software updates, Apple events are always an exciting time. Whether they're in-person gatherings or virtual-only live streams, they're always worth keeping an eye on.

So far in 2021, Apple's already held a few different events. The 'Spring Forward' shindig in April brought a few exciting unveilings — ranging from the AirTag, new Apple TV 4K, and the redesigned iMac. That was followed by WWDC in June for all of this year's new software updates. The most recent 'California Streaming' event just happened in September. That gave us the iPhone 13 family, iPad 9th Gen, iPad mini 6, and Apple Watch Series 7.

Just under a month later, Apple has just announced another gathering to look forward to. On October 12, Apple sent press invites for its upcoming 'Unleashed' event. It shows the Apple logo in the middle of a hyperspace launch straight out of Star Wars. Below that are the details for the event. Apple confirms it'll happen on Monday, October 18 at 10:00 AM PDT. Just like other Apple events this year, Unleashed will be streamed on the Apple website for everyone to watch live.

What To Expect From Apple's Latest Event

Macbook-Pro-14-inches

That's the time and date the next Apple event is happening, but what can folks expect Apple to announce? While nothing is confirmed just yet, all signs point to new MacBooks being the stars of the show — specifically, new MacBooks Pro. Apple's rumored to launch two models this year, including 14 and 16-inch ones. They'll reportedly have new mini-LED displays, more ports than the current versions, and will remove the infamous Touch Bar that's been present since 2016. Also expected is the new M2 or M1X chip from Apple as a successor to last year's M1. The new chip should offer increased performance across the board, hence the 'unleashed' name for the event.

Outside of the new MacBooks, there are a couple of other things to keep an eye on. Apple's widely expected to launch AirPods 3 before the year is over, and this event would be a great place to do just that. There have also been teases of a redesigned Mac mini, though some believe that's not coming until 2022. Regardless of what's actually in the docket, the good news is that there's not too much longer to wait before all is revealed. Stay tuned!
