Apple TV+'s Servant is filled with twists and turns, from the big reveal in season 1 that baby Jericho was Leanne's and she was fleeing from a dangerous cult to season 2's discovery that Leanne might be far more powerful than anyone realized.

The episodes in season 3 continued the trend with plenty of other surprising moments, including someone finally figuring out the truth about what happened with the real Jericho, Julian making some major changes in his life, and Leanne becoming even more manipulative and cunning than ever.

Sean Was Going To Church

Sean never seemed to be a religious man, but it was revealed during a neighborhood outdoor carnival that he had been secretly seeking solace in church and via friendship with a minister. It would make sense since Sean had to not only put on a façade for Dorothy's sake, but he also never had the chance to properly grieve the death of his son. It's part of why some fans also believe the story is all happening in Sean's head, one of the crazy Reddit theories about Servant.

Nonetheless, it was both a surprise to fans and Dorothy that Sean had been secretly going to church, needing someone to talk to about things. With Dorothy having repressed what happened to the real Jericho, Sean knew she would never understand why he needed to go.

Leanne Was Sleeping With Julian

While fans saw Leanne save Julian from death after he overdosed, their relationship was always a strange one. He initially looked at Leanne, one of the most likable characters on Servant, as though she was odd and as if he needed to keep a distance from her.

But not only did they become close friends, but they also began sleeping together. This continued well into his journey towards sobriety and even while he had a girlfriend. Most importantly, for quite some time, Sean and Dorothy had no idea this was going on behind their backs.

Julian Getting A DNA Test Done

While Dorothy appears to be in a state of blissful ignorance about what happened to Jericho and the truth about the baby she calls Jericho today, Sean and Julian are both well aware of the truth. However, they continue to maintain the ruse, believing it's necessary for Dorothy's mental well-being.

However, Julian appeared to reach a point where he felt it was damaging for Dorothy to continue repressing the memory and wanted her to wake up. But he knew he needed proof to convince her. In one of the most shocking moments of the season, Julian tried to get a sample of Dorothy's hair to have it tested for DNA in hopes it would finally prove to Dorothy that "Jericho" was not her biological child. The plan backfired, however, when he accidentally took the hair from another woman's brush.

Dorothy Tried To Send Leanne Away

On two different occasions, Dorothy tried to send Leanne away. At the first, she concocted a plan to have her accepted to a dance school program for two months. The plan backfired when, before Leanne could head to the airport, she used her mysterious powers to switch the real Jericho for the lifelike one then created a crying sound all through the house that Dorothy ran frantically to find. Only when Leanne returned did the real baby show upright in his crib.

When that plan didn't pan out, Dorothy switched to another strategy: have Leanne committed. Dorothy used evidence like Leanne's sketchbook, the self-harm marks on her back, and details about the way she manipulates others, to have a psychiatrist come assess Leanne. Instead, however, Dorothy's father Frank sent his therapist friend over to assess Dorothy, worried about her mental health and the safety of the baby. Indeed, one of the surprising fan theories about Servant, according to Reddit, is that the entire story is all in Dorothy's head. Nonetheless, Leanne came to Dorothy's defense, further ensuring she would always be part of the family.

The Homeless Youth Were Former Cult Members

The show was initially setting up the homeless youth who were hanging around the local park by Sean and Dorothy's home to look like they had something to do with Leanne's former cult. Indeed, Leanne was suspicious of them from the get-go, especially when a few of them tried to approach her. She thought they wanted to harm her.

It was only when she was attacked that it was revealed that they were indeed once members of the cult, but like Leanne, they had managed to get out. They were not following to harm her, they were following because they worshipped her and were looking for leadership and help.

George Is Alive

Roscoe had been seen from time to time in season 3, and it appeared he was back to himself, having forgotten all the events when he went missing for those days and what happened to him with the cult.

This, however, turned out to be wrong. Not only was Roscoe still under the thumb of the cult, but George also managed to miraculously survive the car accident. He had Roscoe under his spell, who assured George that he had managed to gain Leanne's trust. Fans not only thought George was gone, they thought Roscoe was on Leanne's side, neither of which turned out to be true.

Isabelle Was Murdered

The entire Turner family on servant shocked while looking at the TV.

For the first time on the show, someone outside of the family had finally asked questions and looked into what happened with baby Jericho. One of the things that didn't make sense on Servant was that no one had yet figured out that the baby Jericho Dorothy had now was not the same baby she gave birth to. Seeing that Isabelle was going to continue digging and likely reveal the truth publicly, Leanne did what needed to be done to get Isabelle out of the way.

While doing a live broadcast in front of a home where shots had been fired, a supposed stray bullet hit Isabelle right in the temple, just as the whole Turner family was watching the news broadcast on TV.

Is Dorothy Dead?

The final moments of the season left fans in a complete state of shock: after being caught trying to run away with baby Jericho, Leanne screams for the rest of the family to come. When Dorothy won't listen to reason, Leanne apologizes, then somehow causes the banister to break and Dorothy goes tumbling down, just after Leanne grabs baby Jericho to keep him safe.

Dorothy's eyes are open as she lay askew on the floor, which leads fans to believe she is still alive. But will she survive? Will she be paralyzed for life? Does Leanne have the power to ensure Dorothy can completely heal, despite the horrific nature of the fall? It was by far the biggest twist of the season and has fans anxious to find out what will happen in the already confirmed fourth and final season.
