Verizon is offering its customers free six-month subscriptions to either Apple Arcade or Google Play Pass. The offer comes as mobile gaming continues to rise, especially in the wake of things like Xbox Game Pass coming to mobile, driving people to their phones just as much as their consoles and PCs. Clearly, there's a market that's being capitalized on, which has caused plenty of conflict with things like the Epic Games vs. Apple lawsuit.

Starting on May 25, Verizon will be offering six months of Apple Arcade or Google Play to both new and existing customers who have an unlimited plan or 12 months free on "Play More" or "Get More" plans. Apple Arcade has been rather well-supported since launching a couple years ago. The monthly subscription service offers over 180 premium mobile titles and regularly adds new ones, such as titles like NBA 2K21, allowing for great mobile gaming experiences across the board. Although some gamers prefer their consoles, mobile gaming has come a long way since the days of Angry Birds and has a massive audience hungry for new content.

While some Apple Arcade games have gone to consoles, it still has a great library of titles for a low cost. Verizon noted the rapidly growing mobile audience and how it's trying to cater to them in a press release. "Mobile gaming has had a massive boom during the past year as consumers have turned to their devices for an escape from the outside world - with many even citing it as their source of greater wellbeing, according to a recent Oxford study. So, Verizon wants to help bring that support to even more people with this promo no matter what device they use or type of games they enjoy - it’s all included," said Verizon.
