Wall-running mechanics from Titanfall are finally coming to Apex Legends via the battle royale's upcoming Fight or Fright 2020 Halloween event. The upcoming celebration will serve as the perfect way to prepare for Season 7, which is expected to launch next month.

Respawn Games also recently revealed Apex Legends Champion Edition, which will become available at the start of the next season. This new paid edition is said to contain a handful of Legendary skins and Apex Coins along with all the Legends unlocked - including a yet-unannounced hero. Apart from offering players exclusive cosmetics, Champion Edition will serve an educational purpose allowing newcomers to try out any character right away without the necessity to grind points in order to unlock Legends. Additionally, those who tend to hunt for fancy new skins will benefit from purchasing the upcoming edition as well.

It’s that time of year again when popular online video games start celebrating Halloween, and Apex Legends will be no exception this year. According to Respawn, the upcoming Fight or Fright 2020 themed event will run from October 22 through November 3 introducing new and returning cosmetics, a prize track with exclusive rewards, and fan-favorite zombie-based LTM Shadow Royale. Having pioneered last year, the said game mode is coming with some brand new additions and altered rules, and the most exciting novelty is the wall-running. Basically, it is the signature movement technique of Pilots in the Titanfall universe, which is where the events of Apex Legends take place. Although the battle royale standalone is being widely recognized for its fluid movement and acrobatics, the ability to wall-run has been absent from the very beginning - until now, of course. This so-called “mobility enhancement” will be exclusively available to Shadow Legends that players turn into after they die during the Shadow Royale game mode.

Apex Legends is an exciting spin-off with well-deserved popularity, which is solid proof that Respawn has approached the battle royale genre mostly right enriching it with revolutionary solutions. Still, the fan community is hoping to see a proper sequel to the Titanfall series, which could very well be in development now. According to a recent leak, Respawn might be in pre-production for Titanfall 3, which has been corroborated by several unrelated sources including a popular streamer and a data miner.

It is undoubtedly exciting to be able to wall-run again in the Titanfall universe - although it’s different from what fans might’ve been hoping for. Exclusively available to Shadow Legends within the Halloween-themed LTM, the exciting mechanics could end up being a temporary addition to Apex Legends with a potential comeback next year. However, Respawn could be planning on a bigger reveal with wall-running eventually becoming a tactical ability of one of its upcoming Legends. Could it be a Pilot from Titanfall? Season 7 will have the answer, but hopes are already running high.
