During EA Play Live 2021 show, Apex Legends’ action-packed trailer for Season 10: Emergence was shown, demonstrating the abilities of the game’s newest character, Seer. The hero was introduced by an animated trailer very recently, which revealed the Legend’s backstory and set the tone for what might be Apex Legends' best trailer yet.

Although Apex Legends is preparing to launch its 10th season, some players feel like the game is not evolving fast enough to keep them engaged. Among those ones is popular streamer Dr Disrespect, who called Respawn Entertainment's battle royale "boring." While streaming the game, he grew frustrated by characters’ shields, calling this particular mechanic one of the key reasons he's quit playing it. Later in the same stream, Dr Disrespect added that he might even uninstall Apex Legends, but that could be easily be chalked up to banter.

Thanks to the Apex Legends Season 10 launch trailer, the shadowy figure of Seer, the next playable character, has become less of a mystery. Paired with comments by game director Chad Grenier during EA Play, the cinematic trailer gives a proper look at Seer’s unique abilities in action. When ADSing, the character can sense opponents’ heartbeats to locate them. The tactical ability allows Seer to send a group of drones to hunt sensed enemies, which might also reveal their positions to allies. Finally, Seer's ultimate ability can be seen right at the end of the Season 10 launch trailer, as a huge dome composed out of the character’s drones is formed, revealing every fast-moving enemy inside is revealed to Seer (and, potentially, to his squad).

A proper showing of all the Legend’s abilities is expected to drop in a few days when Respawn will share a dedicated gameplay trailer. Shortly after that, an August 3, Season 10 will launch officially with all the novelties that the developer has in store for players. Until then, those who still haven’t finished completing the Season 9 Battle Pass have enough time to do so and level up, especially considering that all the weekly challenges are now unlocked.

Judging by the newly revealed information about Apex Legends’ Seer, the character is yet another tracking character able to locate enemies thanks to a set of useful abilities. It seems a bit odd to add another scout to the game right after Valkyrie with her own tracking passive perk, but unlike her, Seer’s sole purpose is locating opponents by any and all means at his disposal. With that in mind, the newest Legend might completely replace Crypto, potentially making a rework of that character necessary in the very near future.
