A mysterious UFO has been spotted in Apex Legends, prompting fans to speculate if the strange object in the skies is a precursor for the upcoming arrival of Season 7. The UFO sighting has fed into the excitement of Apex Legends fans as it coincides with the all-new Legend, Horizon, who was also revealed today with a new character trailer.

It will be interesting to see if the UFO has a connection to the Apex Legends Champion Edition that Respawn Entertainment recently released. The Champion Edition includes a variety of legendary skins players can blend with unique weapons to create useful combinations.

According to Eurogamer, the UFO was spotted in the skies above King's Canyon and World's Edge maps. Players are hoping to learn more about the UFO and its purpose when Season 7 becomes available next month. For now, players are unable to interact with the flying object. It has been reported that the best view of the UFO comes after players descend from the Jump Ship. Apex Legends dataminer Shrugtal, who first reported the UFO, also noted the similarities the UFO shares with the artwork from the Legacy of a Thief trailer, with both sharing a comparable color scheme. However, there's no confirmation yet of whether the two are connected or if the similarity is just a coincidence.

A new Apex Legends patch was released a couple of weeks ago, letting dataminers learn about a novel character that has been included in the save files of the patch. At the time, there was nothing to go on but speculation. Now, however, new character Horizon has been revealed by Respawn. Until she actually makes her appearance in the game, there is no shortage of rumors circulating around the UFO and what role it might play in Season 7. Respawn has not issued any public statements to explain the purpose of the UFO, perhaps lending more credence to players who claim the UFO is a part of Season 7. At this point, it looks increasingly likely that no new information will be revealed until either Season 7 or the next teaser drops.

Despite all of the buzz the UFO sighting has stirred, it's not particularly surprising that Respawn has not discussed it. This lack of clarity is typical for Respawn, which likes to create as much anticipation as possible by releasing teasers before new content is made available. It remains to be seen how the new character will be accepted by Apex Legends' loyal fanbase.
