The upcoming Fight Night event for Apex Legends will likely arrive soon, as its debut trailer is leaking all over the web. The battle royale game from Respawn Entertainment and EA is currently in its seventh season of content, and players are used to the normal cadence of new additions and gameplay alterations. Following the launch of a new season (which usually comes with a couple of map alterations and a new character to earn or purchase), several smaller events pop up to keep things interesting.

New to this season of the game is Horizon, a Scottish astronaut that manipulates gravity and deploys a black hole generator as an ultimate ability. The ultimate is a similar effect to the Gravity Star, one of the deployable grenades in Respawn's previous Titanfall games. Horizon's arrival and the start of Season 7 coincided with the successful launch of Apex Legends on Steam, which brought in a good number of new players who didn't want to deal with EA's Origin client.

As leaked by Apex Legends eSports competitor PWS_Corruption on Twitter, the trailer for the Fight Night collection event is now available in its full form, albeit in Japanese. Interestingly, there's also a hidden tweet in Japanese on the official Apex Legends feed, which is possibly a region-specific promotion that nevertheless confirms the leak. No matter the language, the visuals are all intact, showing off attractive new looks for all the game's heroes. The standouts in the trailer are new legendary outfits for Loba, Bangalore, and Revenant, as well as a Pathfinder skin that gives him the yellow fedora and suit most famously worn by newspaper comics character Dick Tracy.

All these outfits will arrive at the start of the event alongside a new Town Takedown. These events are character-specific challenges that arrive on the map to give players more variety during gameplay as well as a peek into the lore of some of the legends in the game. In this case, Fight Night will center around friendly robot Pathfinder and a melee-only boxing ring that players will soon be able to utilize on the newly-added Olympus map. This is one in a series of Town Takeovers to occur, with previous events revealing new info on Octane, Wraith, and Crypto, among others.

While the Steam launch of Apex Legends might have been overshadowed by one other huge release that was still on the horizon, the game is proving to have long legs in a crowded genre even as it nears the beginning of its third year. With interesting new characters joining the world at a new clip and the gameplay variety that genre fans crave, it's possible that part of Respawn will be working on this battle royale for a long while. Hopefully, another part of Respawn can continue work on a proper Titanfall 3 at some point as well.
