With Season 5 coming in Apex Legends, nerfs and buffs are par for the course and now it's time for new loadouts to laser people with. With so many guns, there's a ton of variety to choose from the mighty Mastiff to the single-shot P2020. Not a single loadout will be perfect for every player as it might be hard to find that Spitfire or Havoc after 15 minutes. So these loadouts will be more focused on what can be easily picked up quickly unlike any that might require any additional work like the Kraber for example.

Also, different players have different game styles which can affect which weapons will be favored over others. Keep in mind that various Legends will also generate different playstyles because of the needs each of them has. For example, playing a closeup style loadout with the new Legend Loba might be more advantageous because of her teleporting ability. We'll go through a few incredible loadouts for Season 5, why they deserve some high praise, and why they should be used.

Best Close Range Loadouts in  Apex Legends

Apex Legends Loba Execute

When talking close range we need to go straight to the shotguns and with Apex Legends Season 5, the Mastiff takes first place. The reason being is how high powered it is from close range versus the Peacekeeper, but not by much. Take a Double Trigger mod along with a purple barrel and the Mastiff will crush all comers. Keep the iron sights on as the level sights give a great distinction as to how big the spread is for the gun. A great loadout pairing is either the Wingman or the R-99. The reason for these two is that the Wingman is great if being precise is second nature and if not then the R-99 has a decent range and quick firepower to finish off anyone.

Best Mid-Range Loadouts in Apex Legends

The Prowler hasn't lost any advantages from the beast it was in Season 4 and is still a great short to mid-range weapon. It's very useful in that end game scenario when the going gets tough and more damage needs to be pumped out but still effective enough to be good from a decent range as well. It helps to have heavy ammo and a 35 shot magazine rather than other SMGs. A great pairing with the Prowler is the Havoc that makes for a good mid to far range gun that can counter some of the long-range firepower and becomes more useful as the encounters becoming closer in scope. It also helps that its time to kill is fairly quick and with the right aim it can be lethal in the mid-range. If wanting something with a bit more punch, the Mastiff or Peacekeeper can work well too but lacks the versatility going from short to long ranges.

Best Long Range Loadouts in Apex Legends

The Longbow is king here as its ability to fire faster than the bolt-action Sentinel ekes it out on an overall sense. The Longbow, with Skull Piercer attachment, makes this a headshot master. A nice pairing is to have something close up or something with a quick-firing speed to have a shot or survival against opponents got through the snipes. Some suggestions are the Spitfire, with its huge clip, or something to the effect of a Peacekeeper to blow enemies away in short order. Even having something with some quick firing speed, like the R-99, makes it so anyone coming close will get crushed.

Best Overall Loadouts in Apex Legends

This brings us to builds that have a more overall sense of balance. We've mentioned a few already and those are for more specific play styles although no matter where the fight is, these loadouts will provide the best overall chance at being crowned Apex Champion. The first is the Flatline and the Havoc. The range on the Havoc and its reach can flat out stop an enemy cold in one magazine. Also, the Flatline hits extremely hard but can also be replaced with the R301 as well for a change of pace and quicker firing speed.  If paired up with the Anvil Receiver, these two guns will flat out ruin many players' days. The added Havoc is great for both long and mid-range encounters and will do in a pinch in not using the Flatline/R301.
