Peacock unveils a new teaser for A.P. Bio season 4 revealing True Blood alum Joe Manganiello will be making an appearance in the hit comedy. Created by Saturday Night Live alum Mike O'Brien, the series centers on disgraced Harvard philosophy professor Jack Griffin as he loses his dream job to his rival and is forced to return to his hometown of Toledo, Ohio to work as a teacher for the titular class. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Glenn Howerton leads the cast of the series, which also includes Patton Oswalt, Paula Pell, Lyric Lewis, Mary Sohn, Jean Villepique, Aparna Brielle, Nike Peine and Allisyn Ashley Arm.

A.P. Bio first premiered on NBC in 2018 to solid reviews from critics and modest ratings, though would initially be cancelled after season 2 due to a large drop in ratings. A month after its cancellation, the series would find new life at NBCUniversal's streaming platform Peacock with an eight-episode third season, which premiered this past September. Receiving better reviews than its predecessors and solid viewership for the platform, Peacock renewed A.P. Bio for season 4 a few months after season 3 aired and now the streamer is looking to build anticipation for the next chapter with its premiere right around the corner.

With just a week remaining until the series returns to the streaming platform, Peacock has unveiled a new teaser for A.P. Bio season 4. Titled "Sounds of A.P. While Manganiello may best be known to audiences for his work in more serious material, including portraying Flash Thompson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, Alcide Herveaux in HBO's True Blood and Deathstroke for the DC Extended UniverseA.P. Bio won't be his first dive into more comedic fare. The 44-year-old actor even has a past with the sitcom genre itself, having held a recurring role in How I Met Your Mother as Marshall's friend Brad and guest appearances in Two and a Half MenMom and The Big Bang Theory. The teaser for the new season of A.P. Bio certainly looks to be a nice return to more humorous material for Manganiello, quickly shifting from a battle cry to a thoughtful explanation behind the behavior.

Manganiello's appearance in A.P. Bio season 4 comes at the latest exciting development for the next chapter in the Peacock series. Last month brought word that The Evil Dead icon Bruce Campbell had joined the cast of the series as Howerton's absentee father and the first trailer released offered a glimpse at the awkward hilarity to come from such a dynamic. The wait for Manganiello and Campbell's debut in the series is almost over as A.P. Bio season 4 premieres on Peacock on September 2.
