A.P. Bio has officially been cancelled by Peacock after four seasons. The series, which first premiered on NBC in 2018, made the move to Peacock in 2019 after its second season. Created by Mike O’Brien, the show follows a disgraced professor who begins a new position teaching high school biology in his home town of Toledo, Ohio. The show’s fourth season made its debut on September 2.

Announcing the news over Twitter, O’Brien lamented the end of the series and admitted that he was “sad” that the show would not be receiving a season 5. Thanking fans for following the show, he also paid tribute to Peacock for saving the series after its cancellation on NBC. Calling A.P. Bioone of the best experiences” of his life, O’Brien ended the post by applauding a long list of cast and crew who had worked on the production over the years. Check out the post below:

Glenn Howerton starred in the series alongside Patton Oswalt, Mary Sohn, Aparna Brielle, Lyric Lewis, Jean Villepique, Tom Bennett, Jacob McCarthy, and Paula Pell. Though the comedy generated a mixed response upon its initial release, it has successfully nurtured a loyal cult following which avidly petitioned for the show’s continuation after its first cancellation in 2019. While it's unclear if A.P. Bio retains any prospect of revival, it currently boasts an impressive 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Concluding after 42 episodes, the show is currently available to stream on Peacock.
