A new video from the set of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania shows Paul Rudd filming what may be a musical montage. Rudd first appeared as Scott Lang in 2015's Ant-Man which introduced audiences to the beloved character who is capable of altering his size with the help of Pym particles. Ant-Man went on to receive a sequel back in 2018, Ant-Man and the Wasp, which saw Lost star Evangeline Lilly partner up with Lang and take on the mantle of Wasp. Since his debut, Rudd's Ant-Man has established himself as an integral character within the MCU, while also providing some much-needed comic relief during some of the franchise's more pivotal and intense moments.

Scott Lang's third standalone installment, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, is currently set for release next summer and will see Rudd return to the MCU for the first time since the earth-shattering events of 2019's Avengers: Endgame. As the title suggests, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will build on the previously established in-universe science behind the Quantum Realm, with very little else known about the plot at this time. Lilly will also reprise her role alongside Rudd, with Jonathan Majors set to make an appearance as Kang the Conqueror following the dramatic revelations at the end of the Loki season 1 finale. Kathryn Newton will also star as Lang's grown-up daughter, Cassie.

Now, a recently captured video from the set of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has given fans a fresh new look at Lang post-Endgame, while also teasing the possibility of a musically backed scene. The video, which was shared by @paparazzipodcast on Instagram, offers a quick glimpse of Rudd as he strolls rather merrily past what appears to be a number of excited onlookers. In the background, the song "Welcome Back" by John Sebastian can be heard playing, and Lang struts along smiling as he passes each of them. As with most Marvel projects, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has so far remained shrouded in mystery, with some recently released set images acting as the first real unofficial 'tease' that fans have had regarding the project. Given the stacked cast that this film boasts (including a confirmed appearance from Bill Murray,) audiences were already incredibly excited to see what this third Ant-Man installment will mean for the future of the MCU. Now this new footage, albeit short, is only likely to amplify the anticipation for this long-awaited threequel, as its quantum-central theme certainly holds a number of exciting possibilities.

The presence of the song in this scene certainly suggests that this could be part of some sort of montage sequence, with the public perhaps welcoming Lang back following his world-saving efforts in Endgame. The apparent curiosity and wonderment from the people he passes by suggests that Lang may now experience a new level of fame and recognition given that he publicly fought alongside the Avengers and helped reverse the devastating effects of Thanos' snap. It will be interesting to see how this scene plays out on the big screen, and what its actual context turns out to be, when Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hits theatres next year.
