Anthony Mackie wants Falcon to appear in Blade and interact with Mahershala Ali's vampire hunter. As the Marvel Cinematic Universe has grown, it has become much more common for heroes to crossover into other franchises. Iron Man appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Hulk joined Thor: Ragnarok, and the list goes on. Mackie is about to lead his first MCU property with The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, but he's appeared in various franchises during his time in the MCU.

After Falcon's debut in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Mackie popped up for small roles in Ant-Man and Avengers: Age of Ultron. He was a bigger part of the story in Phase 3, but his time with The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will finally vault him into the spotlight. This makes sense as Falcon is positioned to be the MCU's new Captain America. It is unclear what the future holds for Sam Wilson, though, after the Disney+ show wraps. Marvel has announced where he'll appear next, but Mackie has an idea.

Anthony Mackie and the rest of the cast and crew for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier recently were part of a virtual press junket in the lead-up to the show's first episode debuting. Murphy's Multiverse was among the many sites that participated. During the junket, Mackie was asked about what other MCU upcoming projects he's excited about. The star took his answer a step further and mentioned his hope for a Blade crossover. He said, "I would really like to, Kevin, spend some time in Blade world."

Marvel Studios is in the early stages of developing Mahershala Ali's solo Blade movie. It was early this year that the studio hired Watchmen's Stacey Osei-Kouffer to write the script. There is no word on who will appear in the movie or how connected it will be to the larger MCU story. That isn't stopping Mackie from professing his desire to join the cast. It would be a great chance to see Mackie and Ali share the screen and potentially put Falcon in the supernatural after The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

It remains to be seen if Mackie will get his wish. Even if he doesn't appear in Blade, there is always the chance that a crossover will occur in the future. Captain America and Blade should have prominent roles in the MCU moving forward. Anthony Mackie's Captain America could lead Avengers 5, while Mahershala Ali's Blade could be part of the roster at some point. As Marvel Studios continues to mix characters together, hopefully Mackie gets his wish and shares the screen with Blade before too long.
