Back in September, Screen Rant had the opportunity to visit the set of Ant-Man and the Wasp at the Pinewood Studios lot outside of Atlanta, GA. The day started with a round of interviews involving the sequel's cast including Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Michael Douglas. Director Peyton Reed and other key crew members also provided lots of insight into the themes, design, and costumes of the film. And, of course, the mysteries of the Quantum Realm and the villainous Ghost were teased.

Concept art of Hank Pym's new lab was shown along with mock-ups of X-Con Home Security and the Quantum Realm. We even got to see a scale replica of Hank's new lab before visiting the real thing: a three-story practical set that may just be Marvel's biggest piece yet. Mixed in with the typical building material and tech were things like Erector Set pieces, bread bag clips, and knobs from stereo systems, showing how Pym's DIY approach differs from Tony Stark's. It also demonstrated how much fun the team had with mixing large and small objects and creating a real space for the actors to perform in.

We also were able to watch a scene being filmed involving a very peeved Pym bringing Scott Lang into the plan to rescue Janet van Dyne from the Quantum Realm. Given how secretive Hank has always been about his tech, Scott's showboating during Captain America: Civil War does not sit well with the elder scientist—especially as he and Hope are now on the run as fugitives from the Sokovia Accords.

We'll be doling out news and features all week from what we learned on set, so check back here for a full recap of all our stories. Below, you'll also find brand-new behind-the-scenes images from the filming of Ant-Man and the Wasp.
